I've never travelled with my eCigs yet, but my guess would be to have 1 ecig on-board plus prefilled cartridges neatly packed to avoid drama and/or suspicion.

Since almost all airport security force passengers to get rid of all liquids or put them in a bag it would be just much easier and hassle free to have ready-filled cartridges..

I can't wait to vape on a plane myself, haha..

Recently flew Southwest from Seattle to DC with layovers in Denver on the way and Chicago on the way back. I packed 2 Ego batteries and about 20 10ml bottles of juice, chargers cartridges etc. in my checked bag in a plastic divider container and put one of the e-cigarette-forum.com business cards in the plastic container. In my carry on I had a nicostick style mod along with 4 510 batteries, 4 attys and 10 6ml bottles of juice. I put the bottles of juice in a plastic bag and ran it through the Xray machine just like it was shampoo and toothpaste. No one said a word about any of it. Vaped with my Nicostick openly in the Seattle, DC, Chicago and Denver airports but didn't exhale large amounts of vapor anywhere inside. Vaped. again with the Nicostick somewhat openly on all the planes, never blatantly exhaled vapor, but wasn't blowing it down my shirt either. On each plane the other passengers in the seats next to me asked what it was, one even asked if it was a asthma inhaler. I explained what it was and one passenger smoked and I gave her one of the forums business cards. Never had a problem anywhere.

I first started using the E-cig a couple of years ago just for air travel. I've vaped on planes and in airports a lot over those two years, but up until recently it was with the E-Health E-cig which you can't get much vapor out of no matter how hard you try, so it was barely noticeable anyway. This was my second trip since discovering good PV's that will actually create a decent vapor, and no problems on either trip. Since discovering the good PV's I've given up analogs all together!

On my first trip with a 510 I was in the Las Vegas airport blowing out way too much vapor when an airline employee (not an airport employee) came over and told me there was no smoking in the airport. When I explained it was electronic and not a cigarette he asked if it helped, and I told him it really helped a lot, so he said he would go tell the woman who complained that it wasn't a cigarette!

In the Denver airport there is still a smoking lounge. Since I'm no longer a smoker I could smell the stinky lounge from 100 yards or more away. No wonder non-smokers don't like those! I did go into the lounge to have a beer and vape my nicostick. Lots of smokers asked me about it and I point them all here.

I actually just did my first plane rides with e-cigs.

In both cases, I had a couple assembled e-cigs in my purse, and all my juice bottles in a 1 quart sandwich bag, with the rest of my other liquid items.

On the way there, I didn't get stopped at all.

On the way back, I did get stopped, because of the assembled e-cigs that were in my purse. I explained what they were, and he let me go. I was only stopped for a few minutes, and I wasn't personally searched - just my purse.

Thanks everybody...my flight will be very short so I think I'll just pack everything within easy reach for when I arrive. I'm not in to making a big deal out of vaping...just isn't worth the effort to me. I will pack my batteries and charger in a plastic bag and my ejuice in another plastic bag.

Where did you get the business card for the bags? I don't see where they are located on here...leave it to a noob not to know.

I recently traveled to Frankfurt from Tucson with my Ego (two bats, a cart and atty) and a couple of bottles of juice in my carry on. No problems at all. In fact on the second leg from Chicago to Frankfurt I vaped next to my sleeping program manager in business class. No one noticed. I would go to the lav if I needed to really puff away but for mild stealth vaping it worked great. I used a mango juice for the mild aroma. I would probably been happier with Boba's Bounty but my wife says it smells like bad breath. :)

Flight back was just as uneventful. I slept the first couple of hours of the flight and then happily steath vaped under my blanket while watching movies and drinking coffee.

Forgot to say:
I put the bats, atty and cart in the same pocket of my backpack as my cell and charger. The juice went into a ziploc in another packet but it was never questioned nor was I asked to remove or explain it. On the way back I forgot a bottle in my pocket and at customs/security had no problems with it either.

I just did a flight from Chicago O'Hare to Phoenix and back. I placed all my juice in a baggie and placed my Ego and 510 kits next to it in the X-ray bin. All my chargers were in my carry on bag. I figured they could rescan my kits again without having to go through my carry on if there was an issue. TSA didn't take a second look at my kits or juice. I did not have a problem using my pv at either airport. I also vaped on the rental car shuttle bus in Phoenix. Had no issues at the hotel. It was nice to have a non-smoking room at the hotel. No lingering smoke smells. I visited a home that had smokers in it one evening and could not believe how bad I smelled after I left. I actually put all my clothes out on the balcony so that they could air out over night. Did I really used to smell that way? UGH! I did take a few stealth vapes on the plane. Just held in the vapor longer. I was going to vape in the plane's bathroom, but the smell was so bad in there that I had to hold my breath and get out of there as fast as I could. :(

I have traveled several times since vaping. Never once been stopped or asked what it was or anything. I always only have carry on bag and all my juice charger batteries, etc is right there with me. Never been asked about it or anything. I use a box mod and vape in the terminals, on planes, everywhere. No one has ever asked me a thing. I get some funky looks but that is it. I do not blow out a lot of vape. That would be foolish. I just hold it in so little to no vape comes out at all. It is a lot nicer on those long flights! Just sitting there watching a movie vaping on a plane! What else could one ask for! ;)

I recently flew Delta with my PV in tow. I had my PCC in my purse, with an atty, cart and carto, and a battery in the charging slot. A spare battery in one of the pockets of my purse. Two bottles of e-juice in a plastic ziploc in my carry - on. Removed it from my backpack for the security screening. Absolutely zero issues. Stealth-vaped on the plane, even topped off my cart a few times. Never had an issue, but maybe it was just luck.. :)

BTW, flew RDU (zero tolerance for tobacco, absolute "smoke free" airport) to LAX. One way. I think the bigger stink was me refusing to go through the scanner so I got a nice thorough pat-down. Mmmmm.

I just got back home today. I went from Australia to Bangkok to Hong Kong to Bangkok to Koh Samui to Bangkok and back to OZ vaping all the way, I even vaped while riding an elephant! The only question was in transit from Bangkok to HK where they wanted to know what the ego batt was. No problems at all.
I had it all in my laptop bag. My juice supply was in checked as I had enough E2 cartos with me. I vaped under the blanket with no problems.

Hi all I just arrived at my destination and it was the most pleasant flight of my life since smoking was banned in the air.

I packed most of my liquids in my check-in luggage. I'll be away for 2 months so I brought with me over 500ml of juices. I also checked in my mod Reo Grand. For the carryon I had 5 bottles of 10ml along with my toiletries in one quart size ziplock bag. Two Ego batteries, four Kr808 batteries in a caselogic hard case. The egos and two of Kr808s were assembled. I went through 3 security check points without a single question (Philly, LA, and Bangkok).

Two of my bottles did leak and have a bit of mess to clean up. They both were the kid unfriendly type caps... grrr.

I didn't vape in the open when I'm surround by a whole lot of people. But I did get a few puffs as I was walking around inside the airports, including restrooms.

The domestic flight from PHL to LAX the plane was packed and I was in an aisle seat. I vaped in the restroom only. LAX to BKK was a huge aircraft, I vape in my seat and use 70pg juices and try to blow as little vapor as possible. I had a window seat and vape pretty openly. However the light on the ego lights up in the dark every time I vape but no one saw (?)or said anything. The flight was 18 hours long and noone really give a **** what you are doing. Majority of the time the lights were off except when they serve meals (3times) so there was no problem at all. I watched 6 movies and vape through them all.:)
