I guess I'm just lucky - we've never really had to "work" at our marriage, just been happy with each others company from day one and accept each other the way we are.

Maybe 26 years of marriage with no kids is the secret, I dunno.......

Maybe it is... I think the main contributor to us having "issues" is that we got together when we were 16 years old, and in the last 18 years we've grown a lot (both of us), and in some ways we grew apart and not together. We're trying to make things work. Sadly, it takes more than love. Marriage is work. If you have a marriage that has never been work, then you must know a secret I don't... I'm happy for you, though. Thanks for the message.

Wow, what flavor are you vaping? I can't smell the peach after I vape in my car for 45 minutes straight. The smell seems to go away very quickly

My uncle has a very sensitive smell and I quit smoking mainly because it bothered him. He had a stroke and I moved in to take care of him. We don't even cook inside the house so it won't bother him.

I am vaping Berries and Cream e-liquid
and zebra stripe Zebra Stripe e-liquid
and chocolate hazelnut tobacco from ecblends http://www.ecblendflavors.com/chocolate-hazelnut-tobacco-eliquid-Flavor/

I've been commented by a few females that my breath smells SWEET!

My party isn't as good as Skypea's, no dancing bananas :( Still, it's a party in a box.

I'm not married and don't know your relationship with your wife, so no advice here. Might be why I'm not married. Just know that you have made a milestone in your progress, giving up analogs is a big thing, even without a party.

Good for you! Sounds like you managed to find a compromise that works for both of you, I don't think you really need to worry to much about the kids seeing it, but its not about what i think, just don't let her turn them stumbling upon you occasionally or wanting to sit with dad occasionally because their curious or just want to hang with dad who needs a vape at the moment, into a new reason to insist you quit or go back outside ! Not seeing you constantly with it is a good compromise, maybe eventually you can work it up to an occasional night in front of the tv on your recliner with it, as she learns more and the kids begin to get older, further compromise should and probably will come as you both work at. Now you have two things to be proud of , vaping , and asserting your right to be you! Good luck!

To all who have been helping: Thank you so much!

I had another minor verbal spat with the wife this weekend (the weekend seems to hold these things, maybe it's spending too much time around each other:)
She started asking me what my goals were, regarding vaping... I replied in a very even tone that implied that there was no room for negotiation (we know each other very well, even tones of voice...), "My goal was to quit smoking, and I've done that. I have no goal with regards to vaping."
She was attempting to begin the "Now I want you to quit vaping, and when is that going to happen?" conversation. She did not respond because she knew that I wasn't having it. That was a win for me!
One small step for vaping... one huge leap for vaping kind!

Yeah, good for you. Isn't it enough pressure to quit smoking. Geez:) My goal is to vape until I don't remember smoking and then I will go from there:)

You should be proud! I know how absolutely impossible it can be to stick to the vaping when your going through the issues you and your spouse are and your spouse isn't very supportive about what a good thing it is. The fact that she was willing to give into the compromise though also tells me you stand a much better chance of getting past those issues, just like you got past the smoking, and working it out then I did with my own. Just come bother us when you need to be reminded you have accomplished something great!

P.S. Is neverrrrr giving up vaping, I like to exhale white clouds and feel that hit against my throat, pfftt.... and my new partner is completely supportive of that, in spite of the fact that his ex is trying to use it against him with the kids... rolls eyes..

Thanks guys and gals... This place (ECF) is, well... special. I'm glad I'm here.

Thank you for keeping this thread alive as I'll guarantee you there are others with the same issues and maybe this thread and your story will help inspire others. Early on in my vaping "career" I found the worst move was setting myself to a rigid tight schedule. I do eventually want to quit vaping but will do it when the time is right without any undue pressure. Missed quitting last New Years and it was no big deal cuz I'm not smoking.
