Has Anyone Gotten The New Kick By Smok Tech?

Yep, I got one from madvapes a couple of weeks ago just after they listed it, and it works just fine.
Can I ask why? It seems like they both have the same purpose. Minus the fact that the Kick 2 can go 5w to 15w and the Smok can only go 5w to 12w what is the other major difference?
The smok kick has that darn rattlesnake hissing effect to it. I don't notice it on the evol. But I'm using the kick one. Haven't tried the second version yet.
I read somewhere that it also doesn't have all the safety features of the Evol kick. Such as short circuit protection and low battery protection. ( Now where is that darn review ).
Got one from madvapes and it lasted for only 5 days until it died. Garbage if you ask me.
I've had one for about two weeks, for the price, I have no real complaints. The rattle snake effect is noticeable, but other than that seem to work as advertised.
That being said, I'm still saving for a kick 2.

I have 3, one in a Vmod and two in mechanicals, so far no problem. On the mechanicals I had to put the smaller diameter tube on the top so it fit tight, no rattle or wobble. All are putting out 11.8 to 12.6 watts.
I also have two original kicks, 2 DNA12, and 2 DNA20 in other mods. I can't give an opinion on the longevity of the clone but have had a couple of the originals pop. Nothing is forever, especially in electronics.Mine have all the protection, just like the original. Low battery cut off for sure and I once installed it wrong side up and it didn't pop. Just flipped it and it worked.

I mean, by the time you pay for two or three because they are crap and don't last, you mine as well just purchased the kick 2. Ya, there are some quality clone mechs and attys out there but it doesn't seem like the kick clones are living up to it. Haven't tried sigs offering, the stomp, but I'd stick with the real thing on this one.
I've been running the Smok Kick for 1 1/2 weeks, and its pretty much garbage. It continuously looses connection ands dies. If the tube is just a hair too tight, it will be a no go situation. With my Pisces, I have to keep the tube sections so loose that it feels floppy as you know what... Get the Evolved, and don't waste your money on the clone.
Just measured an Evolv and a Smok and they are same diameter. Had one Evolv Kick that only lasted 4 months and one DNA 12 only six months. My other Evolv Kicks, Dna 12s, and Dna 20s are going strong, some for over a year. The Smoks at $12 each have been working great. Have only had them for a month so will see how long they last. I am to old to become a fanatic about a brand name.
Bought 6 Vmods xls and plan to Kick them with Smok as Christmas stocking presents.....Smok in a Chi 12 watts on load with a 1.41 ohm 28g Dragon coil
