has anyone modded a carto?

There seem to be so many clever people out there whos minds never seem to just stay satisfied with "good enough" I read all sorts of great posts of people modding all sorts of accessories and atty tanks etc. I have been fiddling around with cartomizers, esp boge. There have been some problems with them. I seem to have finally got a hold of some good ones.
I seemed to have finally figured out a good configuration for the holes and all was well, until the heat started up. Now I only have to make 2 holes, 3 holes was flooding in this heat.
Now with less holes I noticed that I was noticing that I had to do a bit more dry hits to keep the juice saturation at its best. So my mind started to think, maybe it needs more ventilation? so I made the little air holes near the center threads a bit larger. WOW. I dont know if anyone has ever done this , perfect draw. Its like the first few draws when you prime a brand new punched carto and pop it in your tank. Nice moist vape and I can really see the bubbles now consistently.

thanks for moving this to the correct place. I really appreciate it, Just curious though, would doing this be bad? Do you see anything possibly going bad making the air holes larger? I figured its a throw away item and if It didnt hurt , I could sacrifice the carto.
Just thought about something else kinda funny...... I will sacrifice my carto to your great avatar !

I'm really sorry about moving your thread. I only read the title and totally misunderstood what you were trying to do.

Onto your question, there isn't anything wrong about drilling out the air holes. It's a common trick used to improve the draw of an atomizer. Or in your case a cartomizer.

Normally, when a cartomizer is at the end of it's life. The right draw is a big indicator to throw them out. This is because the piece of cotton that's wrapped around the coil degrades through time. When that happens then it becomes more susceptible to burning. That would be the biggest risk (of cartomizers) since you will be inhaling smoke if that occurs.

Overall, I can totally understand that your trying to extend it's life. Since you finally found some good Boges.

I wonder who had the bright idea of putting a carto in something that held all that juice. I wonder if people told him it was "crazy talk"
Sorry ladies, didnt mean to imply that it was a man who came up the the idea, could have be someones wife or girlfriend that was sick and tired of hearing her vaping man whine about how irritating it was to constantly drip and refill their cartos or atties all the time
