Has anyone tried adding caffeine to their batch?

I've been saying for years if they could just come up with a caffeinated cigarette well it would be pure bliss, and now with e-cig technology I feel I'm on the cusp of realizing my dream. Has anyone tried this?

ps I know it's against the rules to talk about certain "additives" but caffeine is perfectly legal and I am confident I'm not breaking those rules, if I am please don't ban me please just delete my thread, I made it with the best of intentions.

Both of these are cousins in the chemical world and work very much in the same way..... That is why so many people like to drink coffee and smoke together...... Ever notice that.......There are many times during the day that I need a cigarette, after meals and with my coffee......
Notice the (ine) at the end of their names...... They both give you an immediate stimuli, stays on a plateau, then drops off...... This action gives a rush feeling and at the same time relaxes the neuro system......
You don't have to mix the 2, to get the same reaction, just increase one or the other for the same result......Both can cause overdose, even though most people don't think of that....... Be careful when dealing with any chemicals....... Especially when used for purposes not intended.......

this is a good question and an interesting idea

the thing is, wouldn't you also have to have some sort of pure food grade or chemistry-grade concentrate caffeine liquid and then know the strength to add in etc, how to get the mg/ml, the same as with nicotine (plus trying to figure out how many inhales you'd want to make per your cup of coffee equivalent)?

If there's a way to work all that out, then I think I'd start with having them in separate cartridges on separate e-cigs, one for caffeine and one for nicotine so you can better control how much you get of each (so you didn't accidentally overdo one while trying to get enough of the other), etc

I think the idea of just adding plain caffeinated beverages wouldn't work because you'd have to vape an enormous amount (For an E-cig a cup is a lot of fluid -- if 30ml = an ounce, and there are 8 ounces in a cup, then that's eight 30ml bottles of 'e-caffeine' you'd have to go through!) plus I'd think coffee/espresso etc might gummy up your atomizers and possibly ruin them.

I am really thinking about dissolving a caffeine pill with with some lemon juice then mixing it with VG to see the results.... Before I do this I would want to know what the potential known health effects of inhaling caffeine are.... Eg; will it likely kill me on the spot, make me really sick, etc etc....

If anyone has that info.....

Third page with the search function.... someone already came up with a caffeine cig--- Think geek selling them at http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/41/surgestix.shtml

Would be cheaper to smoke the caffeine stixs they are selling than try this.... (Go ahead and try to order some :))

Purcaf boasts something like 1.5 grams of caffeine in 2oz of liquid...still probably not pure enough to get much of a buzz (you would get like 5ish mg per drop, and a cup of coffee is 60-90mg so even a whole cartridge filled with the stuff would be kind of weak) but it might be a place to start. Turns out it is hard to suspend caffeine in a liquid at high concentrations...perhaps you could leave the top off a bottle of purcaf and let it evaporate, then add it to some e-liquid...I'm thinking of trying it.
