Just sharing my own personal experience. I know this sounds crazy, but I purchased some E juice from Mt. Baker Vapor. juice was decent out of the bottle. I live in Tx, temps get extremely hot summer months. Temps reaching 100 recently. One afternoon I was in a hurry, left my banana cream juice bottle in the car, approx 3 hours later, juice changed color, became darker. Later that night, I filled kanger tank, and thought wow ! that's what banana cream is suppose to taste like. Flavor was so good, I vaped 2ml's in like an hour. Sunlight increased strength of flavor.

So, next day I left juice bottle in car for approx an hour more, same time approx 3pm. Afterwards flavor was excessively strong, felt like vomiting, to creamy. So between 1-3 hours is good, outdoor temp was approx 94-95 degrees.

Sunlight and juice are a no no in my experience. I've had bottles go from clear to bright orange just sitting in the car for an hour in the summer time. And with the color went the flavor too. Tastes terrible after the change. Not sure what aspects broke down, but I know something happens. I keep my juices as cool as possible, and with as little contact with light as possible.

You would be better off pouring the juice into a bigger bottle and leaving the cap off a few days. The more the surface of the juice is exposed to air, the faster it will steep. My juices tend to steep fast in a bottle with plenty of room for air than a full 30 ml bottle with little air in it.
Thanks for the tip. Ordered several large glass bottles/containers.

Unfortunately, I have felt the juice steeps faster in a plastic bottle but I haven't used glass a whole lot and some people swear by it so maybe I'm wrong. I make 180 ml batches and use those plastic bottles that beauty salons use for hair coloring, with the pointy tip on the top of the bottle. I leave a couple inches or more air space in the top and shake it good, and it steeps pretty fast.

I don't leave juice in my car, but vaping between 0-3mg, I find a little heat to be negligible. Here in KS temp was about 110 yesterday, and noticed just driving to work with no AC on and windows down, my 80/20 juice got runny. As for steeping, if the build is in my glass bottles, I'll give them a (TAP) hot water bath for a few minutes, to temporarily thin the VG viscosity to make the shaking and mixing process a little faster, but that's with high VG builds. Flavor dispersion is assisted this way I think. Plastic I don't mess with very much, just a wash down with hot water to remove any residues. Too much can go wrong if chemicals from the plastic steep into your juice at high temps.

After that, it's left open to air for and hour for all the bubble to work out, "burped" with fresh O2 throughout the bottle, and then capped, put in a box, and stuffed in a cool dark place for a few days. Fruity flavors are good within a few days, and my breakfast and cereal juices are good within a week or so. Steep times all depend on flavors and the consistency of your base I've found.

The biggest thing I've found are needle tipped bottles and the glass bottles I have are slightly over by about 1.5ml or so give or take. Very handy when your build just happens to be slightly over 30ml, and plenty of room for shaking.

I have used the car to steep juices before, just not in sunlight. Last year I ordered some juice, the wife got the mail and left it in her truck for a week while I was out of town. I thought for sure the juice would be ruined when I found out what she did but to my surprise, this juice that normally needed a month steep was ready to vape the day I got home. This was in louisiana, around october when it was still in the 90's every afternoon. After that if I had a juice that I bought that needed steeping I would leave it in the car for a weeks or so and cut a lot of time off the steep process.

Thanks for sharing, noticed the same, left my juice in the car, not in direct sunlight, but sunlight turning car into oven in Tx, Lol !!! Flavor improved.

Hi Danny, thanks for info/tip. Wish I could change thread title to steep using sunlight heat. My mistake.

My car has 20% tint, all around. Super dark tint. Left juice in shifter side console. I was amazed how flavor improved from interior car heat. So, now I'm going to experiment with amber glass bottle, once shipping arrives. I've learned not to leave creamy flavor juice in car heat more then 3 hours.

Direct sunlight can degrade Nicotine but heat is good for steeping. What you can do is put it in the glove box away from light and that should work fine for you.

I think the Best "Steeping" method is the one that an Individual Likes.

Be it Cool Dark Place, Hot Water, Hot Car, Ultrasound, Stir Plate, Rock Tumbler, Ceiling Fan Blades, Cap On/Off, whatever.

A Lot of people have Mentioned that Sunlight should be Avoided due to UV Rays breaking down nicotine.

This is by No Means a Definitive Study. But it does attempt to Quantify the Change of Nicotine in an e-Liquid in Various Situations.

I'm chewing back my own words, but this afternoon I left a bottle in my pocket, and a bottle in my arm rest today. Temps were in the upper 90's. Windows were cracked, and sunroof slightly open to allow a somewhat even test. Both out of sunlight but direct outdoor temps. Both of my juices tasted better than what they did last night.. The breakfast waffle definitely improved. The flavors blended much better together.. Not going to lie, might have found the last step to the steep process: a few hours in the car. Now just waiting for the VG to go back to it's natural viscosity, and not a runny liquid.
