Damn I've been steeping my juice in the sun for 2 years! I would put it in the window at night and when the sun is off of it at around 2:00pm the next day then I consider my juice steeped.
So tell me, is degraded nicotine bad for you in any way? Or did the nicotine just get a little weaker? The latter I can deal with.

No it's not bad for you it just makes the vape harsh and peppery. THrough normal steeping or heat steeping the trick is to do a controlled oxidation of the nicotine with a constant heat (150F) over a certain amount of time 1 - 5 hours. This time depends on the type of mix. Read my blog on steeping.

Believe glass is used more for storage purpose then steeping. Gotta do whatever works best ;)

Unfortunately, I have felt the juice steeps faster in a plastic bottle but I haven't used glass a whole lot and some people swear by it so maybe I'm wrong. I make 180 ml batches and use those plastic bottles that beauty salons use for hair coloring, with the pointy tip on the top of the bottle. I leave a couple inches or more air space in the top and shake it good, and it steeps pretty fast.

Cool ! happy method work'd for you to. Amazing what we discover on accident.

I'm chewing back my own words, but this afternoon I left a bottle in my pocket, and a bottle in my arm rest today. Temps were in the upper 90's. Windows were cracked, and sunroof slightly open to allow a somewhat even test. Both out of sunlight but direct outdoor temps. Both of my juices tasted better than what they did last night.. The breakfast waffle definitely improved. The flavors blended much better together.. Not going to lie, might have found the last step to the steep process: a few hours in the car. Now just waiting for the VG to go back to it's natural viscosity, and not a runny liquid.

Sunlight also provides vitamin D, which is quite healthy. So induced sunlight heat may provide vitamin D steeped juice :D

Sun with all its UVs is very harmful to many chemical/compounds, even including plastic bottles (I had a bad experience with plastic bottles). I would not leave my juice on sunlight. Warming it (crock pot etc.) is a completely different story.

All over the place
My old friend, @TheCatsPajamas used to do this. He lives in Sad Diego so he gets sun a lot too. He wowed me with what his liquid did in than an equally short amount of time (and we were vaping the same liquid, so I knew how it changed). He would just sit it on a windowsill for a couple hours and presto! Hell, if I tried it here in MI, I'd be no closer to a changed liquid than if I left it in my drawer!
