lots of people got the Xhaler. look at the Nhaler boards for more info.

Xhaler will do 3.7 and 6v , 7.4v i believe (its too much V imo ) and also claimed to do 5V - still not sure about that .

Before you make a purchase take your time and look around, there are many cool 3.7/ 6.0 devices - difference will be in the size - width & length, weight, overall look, comfort of the switch, price and customer service.

Some to look at :

Silver bullet - awesome unit, best one out there i think.
BB -
Super T.
GG /GGT
Mako - coming out soon.
The-Chameleon
GLV.

DOES ANYONE have or used an Xhaler on this forum? I've been looking for some input on it for the past few weeks and not one reply... :(

What would you like to know? The Xhaler is awesome--easily the best value mod on the market. I love vaping at 5V, and I'm looking forward to getting some 3.7V batteries and trying some of the HV atomizers. Currently, I'm using my Xhaler with a GreenCig cartomizer and and dripping High Voltage Chocolate Macadamia (into the battery side) for a nice flavorful vape with amazing flavor (a little light on the TH with this atty, but I'm used to 510's) and when the batteries start to get a little low, I can loosen the resistor cap to bump the effective voltage back up a bit.

For less than the cost of most any commercial mod, you can get the Xhaler with the ability to vape at 3.7V, 5V, 6V, and even 7.4V shipped to your door usually within 4 days of placing your order rather than the 2-8 week waiting period for most other mods.

I have been vaping on my xhaler for 3 weeks now and I love it, I have less flooding problems and get more flavor out of most liquids. The only juice I cant use is dekang brands, they burn up at 5 volts. The BFD cart mod in this forum works well with the xhaler on a 510 atty as does the nu-foam poly-fil. I just ordered a prodigy 2 by puresmoker and I am sure it will be just as good.

It works good and is built heavy duty , the 801 adaptor shorts out with some atty's ( this collapses the spring , had one sent to me at NO charge ! ) not sure why there is a 801 adaptor if it can short , I got a 901-801 gender changer with the order ?

I use mine @ 3.7v and 6 volt, for 5v I tested it many times under load and no load I never got 5volts from it , Drew needs to look into this IMO the 5v adjustment is a set screw that can give you just about anything depending on the conditions,( there is NO MAGIC resistance to Delrin sorry its 10-15th ohms/sq/cm )I will get flamed for saying this it has been gone over many times but it is what it is !

I have not tried 7.4v

Anyhow mine is a non painted version ( carbon fiber label ) and it appears to be holding up fine.

Drews customer service is GREAT !!! he's gonna be ...... when he see;s this ! he has gotten alot of crap for the 5volt operation BUT the posts all got deleted before I had a chance to read up on it so there was really NO disclosure IMO ( I dont know if it was the forum mods or ?? )

He offered me a FULL REFUND , but I refused it is a good unit for what it is so I decided to keep it , BUT you should be aware of what you are purchasing.

I just got the xhaler last week. my first HV mod..Main reason I went with it is that he had them in stock, shipped out same day, and the price was fair (compared to others)...I use cartomizers on mine and love it..no more fussing with dripping..nice warm vapor..great throat hit..just ordered another set of batteries so can use it when mine are charging...customer service is great...you will be happy...

I can taste the difference between 5V and 6V operation on my Xhaler. 510 at 6V tastes burnt, but the burnt taste goes away when I tightened the resistor cap. I talked to a friend who is an Electrical Engineer for Tektronics and he explained how it could work, and then I talked to Drew a few minutes later and he described basically the exact same thing.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/nhaler/55431-xhaler-video-instrutions-come.html shows the Xhaler operating at 5.4V with the cap on and 6.6V with the cap loosened.

The XHALER is my first HV mod and I must say that I am VERY satisfied with it. It's my only HV mod so I cannot compare it to others, but I will say you will be happy with it.

I get good usage out of it full cart with both the blue foam plug and slug...little better distance with the slug though.

FYI - all HV mods are juice hogs from what I've read. I'd like to try cartomizers with it.....hopefully soon.

If I may ask a (probably) stupid question about this. I'm interested in these mods but don't quite understand them...what accessories do you need to work with them? I see a selection of adapters/attys/carts but don't get it. Say if you were a new vaper what would you need to order to get these to work? (I have a m401) I've tried to research this but it's a bit over my head. :)

It's pretty easy really, but to a newbie can be a little confusing. If you just order a Mod with a well established good reputation, like a Chuck, all you need to do is to tell its maker (Jeff) what size atomizer you want, like a 510, 901, or 801, (I use a 510) and then buy a few of those. Then go to the Chuck subforum here on the main page and read the sticky thread about what batteries to buy. They're cheap to replace and recharge almost forever. In the long run, the Mods are a lot cheaper to operate than the little kits (like your M401). And they generally put out more vapor and the batteries last a lot longer.

That's basically all you need to know. You need the Mod, an atomizer, and a battery and some juice to put in the cart. Hope that helps.

thewomenfolk covered it pretty well. Mod+batteries+battery charger+atomizer(and cartridge)+juice.

With any mod you are given a choice of which connector (sometimes called an adapter, it just means it's compatible with a certain atomizer model's threads) it comes with and can use them with the specified model's atomizers.
If you want to use a different model than the one the battery connector is made for, you need an adapter with the right threads (several are available from Heaven Gifts, Nhaler, and Altsmoke).

The Chuck comes with either a 901, 801, or 510 connector.
The Xhaler comes with interchangeable 901 and 801 connector brass ends. With the Xhaler package you can also buy both 510 and KR808d-1 adapters to add to the 901 connector (which you can purchase for the Chuck as well, just not directly from ThagBuilt, because he only makes the Chuck mod itself). I bought both adapters, because I switch around among different models.

I have not seen a 401 connector on an HV mod (I'm sure they are out there, I just don't know which mods offer it) and the only adapters I know of (from Heaven Gifts) are for adapting 401 batteries to other models of atomizer. So for the two models I've mentioned, you would have to buy 510/901/801 atomizers or KR8 cartomizers to use with your mod.

Thanks folks! That does explain it a bit. The gist I get is they're trying to make it convenient for those who may already have a bunch of (for example) 801 carts laying around, right? Since I don't have any of those, I'd have to look into which ones I'd like to get. Decisions, decisions. :)

Well, not necessarily. Each atomizer and cartomizer has certain advantages and disadvantes over the other, and for many people running at higher power along with the longer more consistent battery life is a huge improvement in the overall experience.

The nice thing about the Xhaler is that with the one mod, you get to try basically all of the different atomizers and cartomizers and all of the most popular voltage configurations as well. Start with the Xhaler, and you can mix and match the configuration until you find what you like best.

Wow, thanks for the input! I'm actually looking for a 3.7 or 5v. I think anything over 5 would kill me *lol*
