As an aside, I just noticed how that rhymes.
Ok thanks for the advice sugar and spice!
lol.
So, what do you want a multi-meter to do? I suggest people have one, with vv mods in particular. But it isn't a necessity. There's only 2 things I do with a multimeter that are e-cig related (when not building them)...
1) Check continuity (or could check ohms) on an atty.
2) Check ohms of the atty
Since I use 5 volt regulated mods, I guess I don't need to check volts. However, if I did, it would be #3. Anyway, all meters do these things. I think the handy one is the "screw on" voltmeter that checks the atty under load. You have to rig a special connector to test it with a normal meter (not too awful hard, but still a pain).
EDIT: I went and looked at notcigs.com. It has a 510 connector for one side, but it won't measure under load of an atty and it says in a review that the eGos make it go bonkers. Looks like two little wires connecting it to the atty connector. IDK. I'd use the $10.00 or so to get a regular meter if it was me. No slam to notcigs, but I tend to go for standard stuff that is a multi-tasker and can be used for other things.
