I've never smoked analogs before and one of my smoker friends picked up an eGo and eventually I got one as well, I generally vape low strength ~8-12% nic juice and I dont care for tobacco flavors, everyone thinks I'm a deranged lunatic for deliberately hooking myself on nicotine, but IMO its all the good nicotine, flavor and social aspects of smoking minus all the cancer, stench and ostracism, Thoughts?

Nicotine is additive and if you don,t smoke, I would not recommend you use e-cigs unless you use ZERO Nic. Juice. Most of us are using these to stop smoking and I have after 3 packs a day for 20 years. I do not smoke cigs any more but I do use nicotine in the juice. The e-cigs have nothing else harmful in them, they just have different nicotine levels.

There's a thread like this about once a week. 90% of the people here are going to tell you not to. We're all ex-smokers that couldn't quit and don't like to see anyone else in that situation.

Pick a hobby to spend money on that you'll have something to show for it.

Nicotine is a poison, and a vascular constrictor. There is no good nicotine. As well as the fact there is no long term research as to what the other chemicals in vaping can do to you. If you want flavor buy a sandwich, or at least vape 0 nic. If you want to be social join the Knights of Columbus. Vaping is no more nor less cool than smoking, its still an addiction, its a dependence on something outside of yourself to make you feel better. I can not nor never will condone vaping for a non-smoker.

That being said you are an adult and any decisions you make are you own, the consequences of which you have to deal with. Be informed and aware of the things you put into your body, if you are willing to do so after knowledge of the effects so be it.

I think regardless of what we advise people your story will become more and more common. I bet if you roll forward a decade half or more smokers will be vaping instead. At that point more and more people will be vaping that have never smoked a day in their life. Is that good? I dunno. Less bad, than a new generation of smokers for sure. Unfortunately the jury is going to be out for 20-30 years on the harm vaping may or may not do. Until their are some decades long rigorous studies I don't think its going to be clear in my opinion.

with the one provision that a non-smoker should not use nicotine, there is little harm in taking up vaping. The downside of vaping (mild throat irritation) is so minor compared to cigarette smoking, that from a smoker's viewpoint, there is no down side. A friend of mine, one of the lucky few who were able to quit was so impressed with the flavor selection that she wanted to start vaping. I talked her out of it, as there were other health issues to consider in her case.

Everyone started out some way. Most people that started smoking didn't like the taste of tobacco either. It's something we did for whatever reason. We fooled around with cigarettes until we were hooked.

I'm wondering what you think is going to happen if your battiers die or you pv stops working or your out of juice.

This is ultimately the dilemma that the FDA will face when they publish regulations for e cigarettes. If you consider it as a smoking cessation device, it should never be used by non-smokers. That said, in my opinion you are not unintelligent or a troll because you pick these up without first going the way of tobacco. I think its a near certainty that a new generation of people will get hooked on e cigarettes in the future. I know many young people who started smoking in the last few years when the risks were well known. Are they more intelligent and less trollish than someone who picks up a vaping device? One thing I know for sure. PV will be used as starter devices, no matter what the FDA does. Its just human nature.

Here are the facts as I know them. No one knows for sure what inhaling a load of PG and VG will do in the long run. It's generally regarded as safe. All evidence says it's safer than smoking. However, the long term effects of doing this aren't known. If you don't need to do it, I think it's inadvisable to start.
