Do you vape with smokers?

I'm with the others who say they don't mind the actual smell of smoking (after all, I did it for 15 years and most of us were into it longer than I was), but the farther I get from my smoking days, the worse the smell of smoke residue is - someone that snubbed a .... 10 minutes ago smells like a sour, vomit-inducing mess if they get too close to me - worse than an ashtray.

I wear many hats (journalist/real estate broker/handyman) - most of my work is done solo, but my partner on the handyman jobs smokes, so I tend to take smoke breaks with him. It also helps the "when do you start, when do you stop" aspect of non-stop vaping that I tend to get into when I'm working solo at a computer - when he lights up it's time to start, when his cig is done it's time to put the Ego down for a couple hours.

I've got plenty of friends who still smoke, and I hang out with them while they're smoking to vape all the time. The smokers (used to be 100% of us with the exception of one friend's wife) are dwindling, though - three of us got hypnotized and quit cold turkey, wife and I switched to vape, another three or four are half-vaping-half-smoking...there are only really 3-4 cig diehards in my circle of close friends these days.

my husband has managed to convert all but one guy of his work smokers(about 11 guys) to vaping, the one guy is a two pack a day, but his wife is my freind, and she is making him give it a real effort once ft actually ships their stuff, she borrows mine every chance she sees me, granted we all are still on the switch from analog, cept for my hubby who probably could have quit cold turkey if it wasnt for my chain smoking ways

All winter I stayed in. I vape at my desk but I'm in an enclosed office so unless someone walks in they don't know I'm doing it. If i do get "caught" then I just get praise cause they know what a heavy smoker I WAS. Since Spring is coming I have started going outside again. I missed seeing my coworkers that I talked to while being outside. I didn't miss freezing outside thou.

I do go out with smokers for the social aspect and just to get away from my desk. Actually some also vape too. We are trying to convert someone. Her son bought her a Halo which surprisingly is a good cigalike. It's a time I can get my head clear. I am nurse and I am a supervisor so I get stuck in an office sometimes and I get very stuck in an office. I don't mind the smoking part but don't like the smell of them after.

I only have one friend who's still a regular smoker, and if it's not freezing or burning up outside I keep her company. I wouldn't at first because I couldn't stop myself from bumming a cigarette if I was near her and no one else was around to give me scornful looks, but I've gotten to the point where I can see and smell a cigarette and have no desire for it, which did take months and months. About the same point where cigarette smoke also started to smell more rank than delicious. So I keep her company from the far side of the porch.

Just wanted to pop back in again - I noticed many said they still like the smell of smoke. Both of my parents smoked so even after I quit, I didn't mind the smell and even liked it. By the time a few years had passed (I quit 14 years ago) I no longer liked it and eventually really disliked it. If I'm walking behind someone who smokes I'll drop back so it's not as strong, if a friend is smoking I try to stand upwind, and I hate the way I smell when we go to Vegas. :D

I am active duty US NAVY and vaping in our federal building on base is strictly prohibited. If it is super cold I will walk to my car which is in the parking lot right next to the "Smoke Pit". But if not I will join the rest of the Sailors, Marines, and Airmen, in the pit.

I too smoked for a long time and enjoyed the social aspects of congregating in the smoke pit. Also a lot of "work" can get done out there as leaders from different work centers within the same division can bounce ideas off each other and talk about things that we normally wouldnt get the chance to talk about during our daily work routine.

Being out there with smokers bothered me a bit at first but now that I know more about vaping and have a really great setup it doesnt really bother me.

Also the fact that my huge clouds and great smelling vapor produced from my RSST / Nemesis setup with Mt Baker Vapor's Cinnamon Roll attracts so much attention I have converted several people to vaping and is always a conversation starter. Lately in the pit its usually about 50/50 analog smokers to digital and I think thats fantastic.
