The ECA has been defunct for many, many months now. Here is a partial quote from another thread in this sub-forum:

The ECA was set up for suppliers/manufacturers. It was a trade organization that was willing to take any help from consumers because at that time, there wasn't a CASAA.

The ECA is in fact disbanded.

The entire post is found here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/eca/120568-fda-letter-eca-4.html#post2157080

As indicated in the quote, the ECA was never a consumers organization; it was from its beginning a trade association, formed to further the interests of vendors. Not that's there's anything wrong with that, and in fact it would be wonderful if vendors here in the US would or could finally get together and form a viable trade association, such as ECITA seems to be in the UK. But it would be a mistake to think that a trade association would always necessarily further consumers interests, as there are certainly areas in which consumer versus vendor interests conflict, just as there are also some areas in which they do coincide.
