but help needed!

almost 3 months ago i did a straight switch over from nasty smoking cigarettes to lovely e-cigs and i adore my shiny red 510. i have got to the point where i have to stand upwind from smoking friends cause i cant stand the way they smell.

However, over the past few days I have been craving a nasty smoking cigarette. (havent caved though) I have tried upping nic levels, downing nic levels, tried vaping tobacco flavour, menthol flavour, fruit flavours, cake flavours, smelling real tobacco (from a pouch), sitting outside with a cup of tea and vaping where i used to smoke, drinking ridiculous amounts of water, tea, juice and even tried milk! i tried brushing my teeth, going for a long walk, calculating how much cash i saved and how much i will save in another 3 months (more than £700) and looked online at stuff i could spend that on.

tonight, i have resorted to having my daughter hide the car keys so i cant get to the store to get ciggies and i am still really really craving a smoke.

please, hints? tricks? help?

Well you've done everything else. Smoke one and realize again how awful it is. It will taste like crap, burn your throat, and stink. Then you'll say - ugh, that was NOT worth it. And pic up your e-cig.

Ditto

Seriously...How long did you smoke? one more won't be the difference between ....you know...

You will see how nasty it is, and likely never want one again.

And the idea here is to not feel guilty, the pressure of trying to NEVER smoke again can be too much. Go ahead and have one...release that pressure. And focus on how many you have NOT smoked over the last 3 months

Thats pretty much what I was thinking.

Maybe you need to try a higher voltage model next? I save mine for days that i feel like this and it helps alot.

Really near the mexican border.
I was there about 6 months ago and then again 3 months ago and then again a couple of weeks ago.
When I flipped over the handle bars of a motorcycle going only 2 mph in motorcycle endorsement class, and broke my right leg and also gave myself an 8 inch gash on my left leg (bleeding terribly) I really wanted a real cigarette really badly, I mean so badly it probably kept me from feeling the certain pain I was having.
All I could think about was smoking.....well I never did get one and I survived. It's been about 17 days since that day, me being very laid up and still not smoking but really vaping until 2 days ago when my chair crushed my USB Wall charger and then yesterday my 510 passthrough with inline battery just stopped working. So now what do I do, I am vaping my box mod all the time.
My point is 6months ago I bought a pack and it took me almost 3 months to finish it.....why it tasted really bad and I can smell everything much better.......You can NOT smoke if you have to.....if it is that you really want one that badly, don't buy a pack, bum one....smoke what you can of it and then get out your PV and vape away. You need to retrain your brain not to want the "real" cigarette and all the chemicals it has in it.

I smoked American Spirit Menthol (chemical free-supposedly). I really believe that all tobacco cigarettes contain something other than nicotine to keep us coming back to them. Why do we crave that smoke? If it was only nicotine we craved then vaping would be enough. But usually it's not and we crave that analog cigarette again and again, so what is it that is added to make us not want to quit all the way? ask yourself that. I have friends that have quit cold turkey, that still want a cigarette everyday and just don't light up.

I just passed an ash tray in my house and bent over to take a whiff, go find an old ash tray and try. Even as a hardcore 2+ packs a day smoker I still dont like the smell. Back in the 70's in Los Angeles my parents tried a place called the Schick center for smoking behavior treatment, they had huge piles of cig butts and ash on the table in a little room. They had the person lite up and take a puff, then you got electrocuted. As a kid it was fun to watch my parents get zapped, I even pushed the button once. I got smacked for that one.
