Hi guys, this is my first APV.

I just got both today, and I didn't know any better and was running my protank that has 1.9 ohms on 15 watts (lol)

I did it for at least 15 hits, it didn't taste burnt or anything. I lowered it to 6.5 after realizing I shouldn't do that. Do you think I damaged my coil? Should I just replace now?

I don't feel any throat hit on the pro tank, although flavor taste good and there's a lot of vape coming out. Why is this? Is it normal since it's a bottom coil not to feel the throat hit? I read reviews of people saying it's an awesome throat hit so idk what's wrong with mine.

Also, the e-juice inside the protank leaked down into the hole of the battery when I was using 15watts and it was pretty hot, now inside of my battery, the metal, looks kind of burnt. Did I damage it anyhow? Is liquid leaking into the battery normal? I cleaned it with tissue right away.. thanks!

Welcome , but if it's still working , then you should be good . I run my Protank at 8 watts . But if 6.5 satisfies you , no need to change . If you don't already , make sure to keep a few spare atty heads . Then when the original coil goes out , you'll have a quick replacement . Also , try to clean your tank , once a week or so , and do a few dry burns (check youtube video's ) Coils should last a lot longer , with a little maintenance . Good Luck .

rounding third and heading home...
depends on the juice(vg/pg ratio). proyanks tend to be cooler because they are bottom coil and airy compared to most. personally, if you have lots of vapor and taste why worry about throat hit? I hate too much throat hit- it's a bonus from giving up analogs not something that needs to be duplicated.

Protanks are known for having an airy draw. I love mine, but I like to be slammed with throat hit, personally. Some people have remedied this by poking a toothpick in one of the airholes and breaking it off, or putting tape over it. I haven't tried these methods, but I do use a tank airflow controller that I bought from Stormy's. It's this little add-on that fits under your tank, which you can adjust to suit your needs. I hear that the Kamry Protank clone addresses the "airy" issue. I shall soon find out when I get mine from Fasttech!
