I love my pro tank and other BCCs!

I absolutely love my kayfun light clone!

I adore my Trident! (after 3 months i feel i have finally mastered building coils)

My HH 357 atty is still working great!

ViVi Novas are great!

I enjoy all my mods!!

But.......... Above all I can say after trying what seem like everything the CARTO TANK is still king! I reach for my carto tanks more than anything else. I think you get a better all around Vape from a perfectly primed quality cargo than anything else. Call me crazy! That crackle sound you can only get with a carto is music to my ears! IM STILL A CARTO FAN 100%

I feel like the vaping community goes through all these different phases. This is the hottest thing...... 3 months later this is the hottest thing ect. Its always changing and evolving.

The carto will always be here FOREVER!! Im a Carto guy through and through! Anyone else with me?!?!?!?!

Not with you. But the point is when it comes to cartos versus things like BCC clearos or a Vivi Nova, considering how little they cost there is no reason for anyone to not try several delivery devices to see what they like best.

Agreed! But once I did that, I moved on to cartos in a nice tank. Vaping heaven! I probably wasted some money, but taking this route made me appreciate them even more! ;)

It's funny, the evolution many of us take as vapers. I started out with a single 1000 mah Joyetech passthrough, one Stardust clearomizer, and one bottle of juice. That was all it took to get me off real cigs. But two weeks in, my coil crapped out on me, and back then you couldn't swap out the wicks. So I almost gave up. I ended up LOATHING clearos. All the juices I liked caused them to crap out on me within 24 hours. When I got my "genuine" Vision Vivi Nova, I was ready do to cartwheels in my backyard. Boy oh boy, was that thing not only covered, but slathered in failure sauce. All three spare heads blew within one day. And this was when I knew how to match volts to ohms. I had difficulty giving it away. So I dripped into an old-school 510 atty for about five months (straight butterscotch) because I couldn't stand clearos. I hated the funky hits. I would get six, seven, maybe ten decent hits, then a nasty burnt, dry hit. It was like playing Russian roulette, using clearos. Which hit would suck?! Well, then I almost ran into a car while dripping and driving, so I said to heck with that. Finally someone taught me how to properly prime and fill a carto tank, and it was like a shaft of heavenly light fell on me. I won't lie, I still messed up the first six or seven cartos before finally getting it down 100%, but I was bound and determined to figure them out. I've never been happier since.

EDIT: ConradM, yes, they do have much better flavor. Truest I've ever had, other than straight dripping.

Cartos are like bacon.

You may occasionally be tempted by that fancy savory sausage, or a smoky link, or some Canadian bacon, but they ain't bacon.

You will always always come back to bacon.

Ever see those guys at vape meets with their fancy RBAs and RDAs and pimped out attys? Notice how they all sneak out to the car every once in a while? They need a real vape to sustain them through another hour of suckin' air. They're lookin' for that carto they stashed in the glovebox.

Hey, it could happen.

Too much coffee this morning? Maybe.

Snap, crackle - My Rocket does that every time I fire it and the flavor is sport on.

Ithaka Tanks - Anything I want them to be - Just tweak the Air flow or liquid flow or both(fully adjustable)

Carto tanks are awesome when they are fresh, but they are 10 times better with a good Killer 705 build.:D

Better than RDAs? No way. The clarity of flavor I get from my RM2 smacks me across the face with every puff. Crazy delicious, thick and warm vapor. Like a gallon of milk floating in the air, defying gravity.

Best disposable topper out there still? I think so, still. I tried a whole lot of clearos (PT, VIVI, iClear etc), and I'd recommend anybody who just desires to stick with disposable toppers to go try a cartomizer tank. There's something about those tiny coils in there, and that forced tiny airflow path that packs great consistent flavor and totally acceptable vapor production. Way better than clearos. You never really hear anyone describing the flavor from a cartomizer as being "muted" for a good reason...

They are a bit more of a hassle to set up, and I could never get one to last longer than maybe 3 days at most before the airflow and draw would gunk up. Another negative would be that 1 out of every 7-8 would be DOA. Also, some people swear that they can taste the filler material, but I never could, and I rather attribute that to being "in your head." Other than that, I'm in complete agreement about the carto-tank being a solid, solid vape.

I still keep a 5-pack of blank Boges in my glovebox incase I pop a coil on my RM2 while I'm out and about. I wouldn't exactly be crying over having to put a carto on top of my Reo, because despite it being nowhere near as great as a dripper, I know it would indeed work out just fine. Carto-tanks certainly did their job in keeping me smoke free, and like I said; anybody who is still trying disposable toppers, still looking for what works, if you haven't tried out a carto-tank you really should give it a shot.

That's probably a reason they go in and out of style. Kanger put out a Pro Tank 3 before distributors even received their orders of the Pro Tank 2.

Cartomizers are an old technology so they must be inferior right? Wrong. Ciga-likes use them so they must be inferior right? Wrong.

Slap your properly punched and primed cartomizer in a tank, throw it on a cheap-... regulated device and your going to be satisfied. All you gotta do is keep resupplying yourself with them once a month.

I just moved on from them to a Reo, but yeah, they've stood the test of time and haven't changed for a very good reason. New vapers looking to stay off of cigarettes like elder vapers have shouldn't be over-looking this fact. Trends come and go every other month it seems, but carto-tanks are time tested vapor machines.
