Hi Guys,

I bought my first dna30 device a few months ago and started with an efest purple 18650 battery..and after reading on the ecf that there is some uncertainty about the 35amp stats on the efest I bought an authentic sony vtc5 via recommendation...

Last night I read the ecf sticky on battery safety and it said that the charger is equally important as the battery...something I totally underestimated as initially I used to charge it via usb. So for the past few weeks I've been charging it on this charger..

I know now what i've done is stupid..but I genuinely thought it would be an upgrade from charging it via usb.

Are my batteries ok though? I'm going to order the xtar vp1 charger

P.S, is it ok having two different batteries charging at once in the xtar? meaning the efest purple 18650 and the vtc5?

Thanks all,
Ollie

The vp1 has separate charging channels, they are independent of each other so you can charge diff batteries together.

I doubt you've *ruined* your batts on that cheapo charger, but it probably overcharges them and/or doesn't generally condition them well.

Just remove them as quickly as possible from the charger until you get your new one.
