Hey battery, whats the deal man?

Just got a efest 18650 2500mAh battery in a raffle I won.. I had it charging in my intellicharger with a sony 18650 2100mAh and the Sony battery is now fully charged while the efest is still blinking on the second light. Does a 2500mAh take longer to charge? Maybe this battery was fully drained? My Sony was at 3.7 volts when I put the two on the charger.. I am able to charge an efest 18350 on this charger with no problems, so the flat top isn't the issue..

Typically a larger mAh battery would mean longer battery life. Which in return would mean it would most likely take a little while longer to charge.

The battery could have been very low depending on charge when it was sent and how long it took to get there as well.

Just give it a while longer to charge.

Higher mah batteries take longer to charge.

Think of it like filling a gas tank through a small hose. The bigger the "tank", the longer it will take to fill back up - even longer if the tank is almost empty. There's a direct relationship between capacity, charge state, and charging time.
