I try not to think.... it makes me tired and confuses me!
Part2: How do I set myself up to vape indefinitely should the FDA shut us down.

See for me the worry was never the juice. I use so little nic that a very small supply will last a lifetime. No for me it is durability of hardware since I am not very handy when it would come to fabricating it from scratch.Got this part covered!
I realized last week, I may have over done things. I only have a couple thousand Ml. of 100mg Nic and I just cut my DIY to 3mg. Working to eventual -0- Nic.
I have not doubt there may be a Nic PIF in my will.![]()
There's a line between justified concern and crippling paranoia, and some people skip gleefully over that line into Crazyland.
If you're checking for Kayser-Fleischer rings after every time you vape your copper mod, you should probably go talk to someone.
In the final analysis, aren't all these 'lives saved' merely deaths postponed?
I started this as a reply to one of the many threads that pop up like weeds in my garden around here... But then decided this may be worthy of it's own thread. This is kind of a rant but then again... why are we, as vapers, so consumed and focused on the minutia and details related to this realm?
I just find it amazing the depth of things people and now myself consider, inquire and/or worry about within the realm of vaping but gave little to no thought about any of the components and thousands of toxic chemicals within a burning cigarette that you fired up 20 times a day or more without as much as a brain cycle or two thought about it...
For example:
Copper or brass toxicity... when I smoked I never gave any thought or found a correlation to the plumbing in my house... now I'm informed and worried about it!!!
Silica -vs- cotton -vs- organic cotton -vs- hemp -vs- eco-wool -vs- stainless steel mesh... when I smoked I never considered the content of the filter and the micro-fibers I was inhaling but today I'm concerned if I'm not boiling my organic cotton balls in distilled water enough and worried I may be breathing in-organic cotton fibers from my worn out Van Halen T-shirt...
Kanthal -vs- Nichrome... we're reading studies on micro-particles of metallic substances emitted when the coils in our sub-ohm atomizers are heated at 2 amps above the safe operating capacity of a Li-on battery that we never knew existed a year ago... when I smoked I never looked at my cell phone or laptop as a bomb just waiting to explode and burn my house down...
Authentic -vs- Clone... When I smoked I never felt I was supporting cheap Chinese counterfeit sweat-shops when I walked into the AutoZone across the street from the Chevy dealership for a part for my truck...
I don't know... making a healthy choice to vape rather than smoke was a good thing for my physical health. Although once I dove into this bottomless pool I'm not so sure all this new knowledge of harm reduction is such a good thing for my mental health...
Life seemed much simpler with my toes in the sand and a drink and Marlboro in my hand...
I so love this!! Thanks for the smile.Oh I didn't mean to imply that anyone shouldn't care about what we're ingesting or doing to ourselves. That's a wonderful benefit of this new phenomenon and something I encourage others to do!!
I was just highlighting how replacing one habit with another has blossomed into so many other non-related aspects of life in general.
In the past when I quit drinking Scotch and shifted to beer or switched from Camels to Marlboros... I didn't spend hours upon hours on-line doing product research. When I smoked I didn't find and participate in a dozen social groups on Facebook for Central Arkansas Marlboro Smokers or Vintage Zippo lighter users or Marlboro Ultra-Lite Forums.
My point is... there's more to this whole vaping business than just replacing a bad habit. It's sorta interesting and amazing when you look at the dynamics in such a short life span of this whole deal.
In the final analysis, aren't all these 'lives saved' merely deaths postponed?
Lol. Wait til you hit a flea market on a hot day. I go to one locally quite often because they have the best prices on fruits and vegetables anywhere.
Talk about "unwashed masses".![]()
It’s really quite simple. We are all addicts – addicts are naturally predisposed to obsessive compulsive behavior. There really wasn’t much to know or care about cigarettes – We had what big tobacco said we could have. With vaping there are all kinds of minutia to get into and obsess about.
My advice – Just don’t smoke.
I just go to walmart; it's like a visit to a 3rd world country anytime you walk in the doors.

I just want to meet one person who boiled their cigarettes before they smoked them.

Well, yes. Death holds no fear since I'm 70 years old. The manner of getting there does give rise to a few concerns.
