I never have, but had occassion to do so recently and it did not go well. I cancelled with some alacrity, so it's not like I was slow about it.

I recieved an email from the vendor that they would wait til they hear from me before shipping, then exactly 3 minutes after that, I recieve a shipping notice, which forced the issue and I had no recourse.

This is a very small operation and it's not like the owner couldn't hold my order as promised in the email to me.

I usually deal with the same vendors so I never ever have had this problem, and I"m quite sure I wouldn't with anyh of the ones I am used to dealing with.

Thoughts on this? Seems like i have a right to cancel an order when I have done so very quickly?

Never have, but I've worked in stores, and have a fair understanding of credit/debit card refunds. If it's a smaller business they probably don't have the greatest service for card charges (or maybe they do). They should've been able to cancel, and refund. Maybe pass on the buck or two worth of card handling fees. I seriously doubt the supplier had filled and shipped your order in 3 minutes. Even if they had to make some phone calls. I've had to do that on returns before. Yes it's a pain, but every time I made the effort the customer was happy. They continued to come back to the stores.

rounding third and heading home...
They don't have a customer service line?

there are a lot of vape vendors who list no phone contacts and quite a few that are reluctant to even openly say where they located without some digging around by the customer. if it is a one-man operation using e-mail as the only contact there is no way they can monitor it all the time. some take days to return an inquiry. like most people, I am o.k. with that when it comes to vendors I like and use often, but a business should have a better and faster way to respond to customers or potential customers, IMHO.

You can refuse the package when it's delivered, and it goes back to sender
at their expense. Don't expect them to want to sell you anything again though.

You can send it back (providing they have a refund policy) at your expense
for credit. Then dispute the charge if it isn't reversed on your credit card.
Thought all buyers had a 24 hour change of mind right to cancel?

yes, I called, too....... about 5 minutes after i oepned the email saying he would hold my order, and tehn saw then got the shipping notice in the same 5 minute periiod.

ON the phone, he said "oh I"m sorry". There was no offer to work anything out with me.

rolls eyes.

My thought is that as soon as he got my cancel request, while he was writing the email that he would hold my order, he probably decided to push the order thru, you know, shove it down my throat.

It was hardware, by the way, not juice.

Hey I would have paid a restocking fee, whatever........the point is that I was never given that choice.....I was promised that order would be held, then it was sent.

Yet, I looked at trackikng and there was no scan yet, which means all that happened was they printed out a shipping label.

I wouldn't expect to be able to cancel an order, vaping or others. What I don't get is, if you were not sure if you wanted it, why did you place the order? Seems like you would have just waited until you knew for sure.

Because as susieq explains, stuff happens, The thing that I needed the "stuff" for is no longer in my possession, and it happened 20 minutes after I placed the order.

Are you telling me that with in an hour or so of placing an order I can't cancel ? I buy stuff on line all over the internet, not just vaping stuff......and have never had a problem cancelling an order .........ever.

If the vape vendors operate on a different level than the rest of the businesses online, then I don't know what to say.

I will tell you that I stick with 4-5 different vendors who would never have done that to me.

Guess what?

I use Google Earth to look up any vendor I buy ejuice from, *esp* the ones that claim they have a commercial operation or lab.

One of them was in a 4 unit residential apartment complex. Didn't get my order.

If it's a secret where you are, and you don't have a phone number, then you are not a *real* business. Even ebay vendors have phone numbers these days, at least, the ones that are real businesses.

Just as I thought. shipping notice merely meant a label was generated.

I just went to USPS and package was not even ACCEPTED until today. Not yesterday.

So it really had not shipped at all.

yeah, some of these people are kinda stupid thinking that we are stupid. :) It's really not at all hard to "locate" a business these days, and it is also very easy to call the zoning department of any town and ask what the zoning is on a building. As far as I know, you can't operate a commercial lab in a building zoned residential, for instance

If that doesn't work, a little flaming poo on their porch is a good way to send a message.
A good friend recently recommend firecrackers in the flaming poo bag. Just for information purposes of course ;)
Racehorse, write a bad review. I think they have it coming. There's many various reasons for canceling an order. If this supplier wouldn't hear you out, or even try...they have it coming. Just my 2 cents.
