I have over-lifted the battery post on a manual and it's way too high. Come to think of it I did this to a cartomizer and the post became separated. I have soaked the battery in alcohol but never past the threads.

ok but the battery post didnt come out like how the cart seperated right? dont wanna do that to the batt cuz then its my fault i broke it if its a defective batt

I know that overlifting is possible from personal experience. I should have stopped at ONE hair but I kept going. I have done it correctly on two others and it's a teeny tiny lift. You're on the right track - you found some gunk! But are we talking manual or auto?

Rotating two shorties for six weeks means each one has been through what...40 or 80 or more charge cycles? (Guessing here.) I think they are supposed to last 200 cycles, but not positive about it.
Your kit is still new and if it was me, I'd definitely open a CS ticket.

i use a shorty a day, sometimes one and a half. so lets say i charge them once every day

sounds like you got it! if you see some black soot looking stuff, its the same stuff i clean out. when i asked you to WIPE them, you have to put the alcohol soaked end on the battery top near the threads and then TWIST it holding tightly. let them dry and then re-charge them.

they will work like NEW.

k hope it works man thx

what i mean thankuforvaping is did it break your battery when the post was too high or did puttin the carto back on put it to where it should be

Part of the battery post is higher than the ring around it. Can't get a carto to screw on all the way now because of that. Totally my fault but I did it to an old battery which was a bonus anyway. If I only had two batteries I wouldn't want to risk it.

Gunk can also buildup inside the charger. How's it looking in there?
