I took up vaping about a month ago and have been off the sticks for 12 or so days. No problems. But today, the urge to pick up a cig is hitting me hard. I have spent the last two hours chain vaping like crazy, pacing the house, walking around the backyard, etc., but the desire to smoke remains almost overwhelming.

('Scuse me while I take a toot.)

OK, I'm good for another minute or two!

I know it's up to me to kick the habit and I should have known it was too easy up to this point. I'm just hoping this feeling will go away sometime soon.

Time for another vape.

Sweetie, yes, it happens. I didn't go smokes-to-vapes but I know that feeling well. Go ahead, suck down on that vape all you want for now. Go easy on yourself, this isn't 1-2-3, if it were, we'd all of us have been quit years ago (ugh, yeah, I know, the grammar, your eyes, your poor eyes, LOL...chalk it up to being colloquial).

You are doing absolutely incredible. You should be patting yourself on the back. If you can't reach, here. I'll do it for you. (pat-a-pat)

And yes. It does get easier.

It won't help today but one thing that worked for me was to keep a bottle of higher nic level juice around the house for those bad cravings moments. Over time I needed it less and less.

I don't know what level of nic you are vaping now but I think those disposable nJoy kings are 24 mg. If it is higher than what you use it might work in a pinch until you can get a bottle of somthing better.

Just to let you know sharing your weak moments does take the power away, so you will get throug it.
I'm thrre and a half months in and over time the urges will lessen, I still get them and when I get
then strong I do what you just did.
We all don't ever have to smoke again even if we want to one day one minute or one second at a time.
Congrats on your twelve days and KEEP VAPIN.
Vape til your head spins if necessary.....

This. I've gone from 50mg when I started four years ago to 25mg now, but I still keep some 50 on hand for the rough times. A couple drops of that straight on the atty and I'm good to go.

I know where your coming form.. I have the same kind of days at times. Im using 12mg on my flavors but I still have my 18mg menthol for when I just seem to get a good enough hit with my flavors. And don't feel bad for vaping like crazy .. its much better than breaking down and getting a cig. hang in there and just remember that you have several people pulling for you. your not alone.. reach out for help when you need it. I haven't been smoke free long either and know how good it feels to just have someone to talk to when your really needing that cig.

Saltraker, you haven't mentioned what mg you are smoking. On the flip side of things, maybe you are getting more nicotine than you are used to. I have no way of knowing, but I do know that I can overvape some strong liquid occasionally and be left with an anxious feeling. Its possible maybe laying off the vaping for an hour or so could do you some good. But not getting enough nic could do it too. What nic level are you at? How much did you smoke before?

I was only a pack a day. I decided to start Vaping at 36mg. I knew it was a really high nic level but I wanted something strong enough to keep those urges down. 4 months later I'm Vaping 18mg. Got 4x 30ml 12mg of juice just steeping waiting to vape all my 18mg.

What also might help? Is rebuilding...keeping your fingers busy? Cleaning your gear?

Edit: oh and also drink a lot of water!!

Saltraker, You got this! Remember, along with all the other good advice in your thread, that your body is wanting 1,000s of other chemicals that are in the analogs too. Up the nic, and vape away. Don't worry about how much you're vaping right now. It'll calm down later. It does get easier, so much easier. Hardest part is the beginning while your body is shedding all that other "stuff". I'll put it this as some great guy on here put it to me: you did it for 12 days - you CAN do 12 more! Keep us posted!

Buzzzz, You're cracking me up! Whatever works for ya!:vapor:
