Having an issue with 510 ego adapter

I am hopeful that someone may be able to help me figure this out.
I turned a friend onto e-cigs (yeah!)....she was "borrowing" my 808 PT using cartomizers.
I have a vGo using lr atty's.
She wanted a device similar to mine, only needs a charge once a day, but wanted to continue using cartomizers. I told her not to worry. I have a 510-808 adapter, so she could use her new battery with the cartos.
So, she purchased an ego pt from Route 66 (if that matters).
Well, we tried to connect the adapter to her new battery/passthrough and it wouldn't screw all the way enough to make contact or something I guess, so she is not able to use the cartos.
However, I got out an old atty and tried it. Works just fine.
What do you suppose could be the problem? We have tried to tighten the adapter as much as possible to make the thing fit, but it still will not do anything.
At the moment, she is using an old atty of mine and I have her direct dripping, as I don't have any cartridges. But, I am sure with her inexperience, she will surely burn up that atty, and I don't have any others for her. I am down to my last one also, awaiting an order.
Any suggestions???

if you mean that you tried an old 901 atty with the adapter and it worked fine,, then what your friend may need to do is slightly (SLIGHTLY) pull out the center post of her carto, battery connector end, you will only need to move it out a bit and it should work..

if that still doesn't work,, you may need to adjust the adapter out a bit,, by unscrewing the center post a couple of turns (DON"T UNSCREW THE CARTOMIZER POST>> PULL THAT ONE)

be gentle and careful and you should resolve your contact issues...
