Having an issue with a 510 adapter

Ok, well I got a friend turned onto vaping by allowing her to "borrow" my kr8 style passthru and batteries.
I currently use a 900 mAh vGo and she decided she wanted a battery similar to mine that will last her all day. The kr8 batts did the same for her as they did me, no to much! So,she ordered a Joye eGo passthru/battery combo.
I like using an lr atty and I just drip, but she likes the cartomizers. Not a problem, I say to her, I have an adapter that will allow you to use the carto's on the ego battery.
Well, her battery/PT arrived today, and when we tried to use the adapter, it doesn't seem to screw all the way on or something. It's not making a connection, idk. All I know is that it doesn't "engage" the atty and she can't "hit" it. Well, I tried to just use a regular atty, and it fits just fine.
I tried the adapter on my vGo, no problem.
So. long story short.
I have a 510-808 adapter that WILL fit on my vGo, but not her eGo.
I have a 510 atty that WILL fit on her eGo that also fits my vGo.
Why won't the adapter fit her e-cig???

Any suggestions?

I'm sorry for being impatient, but I posted this in the "Ask the Vets" section not realizing that it wouldn't post until...whenever. So, again, I apologize for "double posting", but I really wish to try and get this resolved. Besides the atty I am using, I only have the other one that she is borrowing, and with her inexperience, I am certain that she is going to "fry" it, and with my luck, mine will stop working and we will both be up the creek!!!.........

I know this doesn't help, but I have an eGo that won't accept some 510 cartos that my vGo will accept. In fact the first time I put the eGo on the charger I had to force it a bit before it would screw on. I think it may have a burr in the threads. It does, however accept my MadVapes 510/808 adapter fine.

Maybe I will try forcing it tighter with a pair of pliers...............
