Having to set voltage lower then other mods?

I was just seeing if this was normal or just me. I find that the same ohm cartomizer I am having to use a lower voltage then on my other mods. Like on a 1.8 carto I can set the Provari at like 3.5 and its fine...any higher and I get a burning taste. I thought at first it was the carto but I tried a new one and it did the same thing.

Probably because your other devices set @ the same voltage will have a voltage drop under load. Where as your Provari will deliver the exact voltage that it is set at.. If you set your Provari @ 4 volts then it will deliver 4 volts to the atomizer under load... You can test it with an inline voltage meter....

It's also the superior pulse width modulation of the Provari. The Provari's chip is firing at over 800 Hz per second, while most other mods are firing at 33.3 Hz per second (the Rattlesnake Effect). Those using the 33.3 Hz chip have to fire a higher voltage to the coil to maintain the "mean" voltage which you set. The result is a hotter vape experience.

If I use 1.8Ω I set the ProVari lower. You said at 3.5V it's fine, so what's the problem? 1.8Ω at 3.8v is 6.8w, which for me is just about right for some of my delicate juices. What battery device and topper you use often makes a difference. On the ProVari I vape my favorite juice at 7.2w to 8w, depending on the topper, but I vape the same juice on the Reo at 13.5w to 10.5w (depending on how much the battery has discharged), but I'm going to make my next coil lower, since I still want more heat.
