having trouble assembling phantom ecig

I just got my phantom e cig yesterday but am having trouble assembling it. Not only are the names for the parts confusing, but I am beginning to believe not all of my starter kit is here! I watched an assembly video and have read the manual umpteen times. I cannot figure out where the cartridge goes. I can find no place that will puncture the cartridge. I am assuming it is a needle like point somewhere! But is it the heating element? Just looks too dull to puncture anything. That is the only surface I can find that is not flat. I figured out how to charge the battery and fill a cartridge, but where does the heating element go for sure? I assume I need to install one of the heating elements and that it does no come with the element installed?
Feeling dumber than dumb here! I don't find the manual very helpful as far as assembly goes!

Hello, it appears the Phantom is basicaly an Ego-C. Yes, you have to install an atomizer head if not installed already. The head will have a hollow spike on it, and you just push the tank cartridge onto it till it snaps in place.(pokes through) It may take a little bit of effort to get it to snap in place. It should screw apart rather easily to put an atomizer head in if there is not one installed already.

Thanks. I think I have it assembled correctly now, but nothing happens when I try to smoke. From trying a friend's ecig, I know I should be able to treat it just like a regular cigarette. The only thing I can think of is that the heating element sat very unsteadily on its base,but it doesn't matter how hard I push it, it didn't improve: in fact I already broke one element pushing too hard on it.. What am I doing wrong? I waited a while, thinking it might need to warm up, but it didn't help.

Could you post a link to the product you purchased? Just to be sure i know what you have, it seems like there might be more than one Phantom ecig out there.. A couple simple things, is the battery turned off?(press button 5 times within 2 seconds to turn on/off). Are you pushing in the button when you try to use it? I know that seems like a simple question, but some people don't know they have to push the button when vaping. Also, it shoud'nt really be hard to install the the atty head, you just set it in the base and screw the cone on top, it does'nt need any force.

Thanks. I forgot about pushing the button. It took several tries, but I got a drag finally but now I can't turn it off! It is also counting puffs I didn't take. Help needed ASAP as the unit is getting VERY warm!

One thing I have learned is that I am not as heavy a smoker as I thought. I got the highest nicotine e juice and it is really strong! I smoke 2 - 3 packs a day, so that says something!

May be a little late, but the best thing to do if the batt won't turn off is just to unscrew/disconnect the top cone/atomizer, it won't be able to heat up if it's not connected to the battery. The battery not turning off is bad news, see if you can get it replaced under warranty. If not, then to be honest i'd probably suggest another route if you're not dead set on the phantom and it's high fallootin display.
