Hi. As those of you have read my earlier posts know, I am new to RBAs and have been learning on a kayfun 3.1 clone by hcigar.

I have finally learned how to coil it fairly quickly, but now it seems to be leaking juice. Not a lot but enough that it's a waste. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I have read some reviews of this product and it doesn't typically seem to have a problem with leaking.

Thanks.
Doug

I'd take everything apart, rinse, blow through all the holes, check all the orings for proper placement, and put it back together making sure everything is snug. Kayfuns seem to peform best when the wick you make is appropriate for the coil size. Meaning, you can pull the wick through the coil w/o it snagging or pulling, or w/o it sliding through too easily (too small of a wick). and make sure you push the wick on the deck away from the vertical channels. And also coil is not too close to airhole, and not too far away. If your wick is resting on any part of the stainless block , juice can drip down the air hole as well, so i find a diagonal positioned coil (in relation to the screw posts)to work best to keep excess juice from dripping back down into the hole.

Amek sure that the o-ring in the cap the chimney sticks through is in place. If not the tank can't hold a vacuum and leaks out.

This, for sure. I received mine with the chimney o-ring on the chimney itself rather than in the top cap, where it belongs. I wasted quite a bit of juice until I figured that one out.

I double checked and the o-ring on the chimney wasn't seat right. In fact, it wasn't in the proper place at all. Somehow it slipped down the tube. I put it back in place. Hopefully, that will stop the leaking. The liquid wasn't pouring out. It was just a few drops out the air hole but still it was annoying. Thanks to those of you who suggested I check it.

I don't think it slipped. I think that's just how they are shipped. Since there aren't any instructions with them you have to find out the hard way. ...or look it up somewhere before your first build.
