So I received my hcigar stingray yesterday and the switch was defective. Apparently a magnet that was supposed to be glued into the contact was unglued out of the box, and after trying to reinstall it, the entire magnet cracked, something I've never seen before. I contacted the company and let them politely know this was an out of box event, immediately after it was delivered. I didn't wait a day, I made sure to let them know it was DOA. They acknowledged that it was defective and agreed to send me out a replacement switch. I haven't heard back from them since, no tracking number, no update, despite them reading my messages on facebook. I'm a little worried because it isn't a larger vendor (it is eciggity) but I am concerned with their truthfulness in the matter.
I'm disappointed, upset, and out 45 dollars I could've used for something that actually came functioning. I know this probably rarely if ever happens, but it is something that always seems to happen to me !
I was wondering if anybody on this kind forum knew where I could order JUST the switch. I've called a few vendors and they all told me they would have to sell me the entire stingray. Or if, by a stroke of luck, a kind ECF member has an hcigar Brass Stingray switch that they could part with?
My last resort will be contacting admin@hcgiar.com, but I doubt they can do much.
