I bought a Stingray clone from fasttech. Its my first Stingray although I have 4 Nemesis clones also. I'm using the kayfun black edition clone with it. Everything seems fine with both. I did need to spend a few minutes on the switch to polish it up to make it work smoothly, otherwise everything seems fine with it. The kayfun clone has worked well for me for the last few months. It has a screw in the 510 connector to allow for adjustment.

But when I went to replace my cotton wick after a day and half of use, I had an issue I never had before when using the Kayfun with my Nemeses. The adjustment screw in the Kayfun was turned out a good quarter inch. As I thought about it, I realized that the screw wasn't like that while I was using it because the switch would have barely threaded onto the tube. It happened again the next time I went to remove the Kayfun.

Although the Stingray has a floating pin instead of the adjustable screw of the Nemesis, they're very similar designs. So why is this happening with the Stingray but doesn't happen with the Nemeses?

It not a big deal to turn the screw in back to where it belongs, its just that it happens in the first place that's got me curious.

Not sure if this is the answer, but I have found that when screwing and unscrewing the battery from the atomizer sometimes the twisting will cause the screw to move a bit in or out depending on the direction. So, maybe when screwing your Kayfun onto the Stingray - the Stingrays floating pin will turn the screw on the Kayfun.

Sounds screwy I know... but it has happened to me using an Aios and Chi-you. I have learned that to get a good connection I need to screw the atomizer onto the top section of the battery tube and then screw on the rest of it to make a tight contact with the pin.
