So I'm considering buying a brass stingray clone. Do you guys honestly think there is a difference in quality between the infinite and hcigar version? If so, which one do you guys think is better? I've only seen a well done review on the infinite version, and the seam disappears when the battery tubes are tightened up. Is the hcigar version machined like this as well?

I keep hearing about all these crunchy button problems. My ss hcigar nemisis with three magnets sometimes has a slight crunch when pressed from the very edge, but it will still fire and never gets stuck. It does fire completely smooth when pressed in the center of the button every time. Is this kind of what the switch crunchiness is like on the stingrays or is it worse?

Confirmed. The HCigar is the one to get (at least in the black copper version). The tube was polished and is nice and bright before the finish was applied, the Infinite was not. The engraving is also brighter and deeper on the HCigar. The overspray issue on the Infinite is not just mine, I am seeing Ebay sellers showing the same oversplashing on their demo units. The switch on the HCigar is perfect, my Infinite version still sucks. The HCigar version can be kicked with an 18650, the Infinite cannot. HCigar is running pure copper contacts, Infinite is running silver plated something, I guess brass. I have a new voltage meter coming in to measure voltage loss, but from using the same Kayfun nano on both I do seem to be getting a slightly harder hit from the HCigar, nothing to write home about.

The Fasttech version is super nice too. While the engraving is not as nice and deep, it is far from bad. The threads are not quite as smooth and buttery, but a dremel and about 10 minutes can clean them up nicely. The 3 actual solid tubes for 18350, 18490, and 18650 is a real nice touch, each with their own locking ring. No seems or gaps! Copper contacts here too and hits like a beast. Nice set for $34 and some change.

Of the 3, the one with the most fanfare, the one every one said was the one to get was the dog of the group. I have several other Infinite products, Tree of Life, King v2, Stillare, Kayfun Lite Plus, etc... all exceptional. But damn did they drop the ball on the black copper Stingray.
