VT200 is also covered with 12 months manufacture warranty.

Honestly..

I will recommend these four (mass production):

- VT200 (nice looking, compact)
- Lavatube (big battery, looks tough as hell)
- Vapor Shark (for VS maniacs with fat wallet)
- BOXER (same as VS, for peeps who wan to try 3D print)

Rest of boxes looks redicoulusly cheap or funny other way (include mighty Hana and spinning buttons - Big LOL).

By thanksgiving (late November for our friends outside America) there will be a dozen. I can't wait. :)

The Hana was not a mass production unit. The new one seems to be nicer like it should be

It looks funny for me - thats it. For $199 I will expect something which looks like $199. Also for $199 you can buy ANY DNA200 were talking about include 50% of custom design DNA200s. Maybe its just me.. IDK. Im simply BORED of another aluminium square box of well known shape with just new chip inside (same with VS but its top-notch box - respect for design). ''New'' Hana is fine for Hana lovers.

Im waiting for two DNA200s and they are definetly fresh breeze. (VT200 & BOXER)

I agree. It is nothing new and basically an expensive reference mod. I do like the vs a lot better. But since I build my own I'd rather make them. But the lavabox right now is the best priced yet.

Hana still uses hot glue to assemble. Their mods look great and give you the impression that they are well engineered and well made. They are well engineered, but assembled by some very unskilled folks who must be under some serious time constraints. Inside the new Hana 200 I have seen images of glue, weak solder joints, crooked/cross threaded 510 connectors, inferior battery connectors and a general disregard for anything other than outer appearance.

This is all true. I did a lot of repairs and changing things due to these problems and now evolv has my Hana to fix the 510 because it doesn't ground wel to the case. But these issues have since been fixed and I can't hate too hard cause I did buy a pre production unit. Even tho they kinda went hack on it. But my mod had no hot glue. Just a bit of rubber ish clear glue to hold the screen to the enclosure. Solder job was weak tho.

LAVABOX - MSRP $169.99
VT200 - MSRP $169.00 :D

EDIT:

Ive just check what GB is stands for and thats what I see:

OWOSN2R.jpg

Have NO BLODDY IDEA what GearBest is doing with VT200 priceing but they back to $117 again. Its definetly LOW below MSRP price (which in my opinion its just ''extra fuel'' to increase selling). Just like all ''scooby dooby'' about loosing manufacture warranty. Bussines is Bussiness but there will be lots of drama behind it - im sure.

EDIT2:

How someone who bought it for full price (as been told to do) can feel about it now?
And that ''free shipping'' - for f**** sake. <facepalm>

They're offering it at cost, quite literally.

OK they can do with it whatever they want to do. But WHY HCigar did sell it to GB if they knew whats goin on? I hope they (GB) trick them for very last time and just get banned for practice like that.

I just don't get what the issue is. HCigar gets a huge order from GB, is able to crank up production, assembles the units and makes a profit. GB sells boatloads of the product and makes a profit. Consumer gets product at a fair and not artificially inflated price. How is this a trick? I think they know what's going on -- all the way to the bank lol.

For me, I'm not ordering anything until it's in stock, ready to ship.

I suspect their cost is still priced in Chinese currency and with the recent shift downward, the state prices is now 5% higher from their point of view.

Yea...there's no doubt that Chinese sellers get a much better price for everything than exporters.

The Chinese take good care of their own and it's why foreigners cannot get licenses (or have to jump thru major hoops) to own businesses there.

If the USA (and other high GDP nations) had half a braincell, they'd do the same to Chinese investors.

For me or you - its great deal (generally end-customers). But what they accually do is that:

2Yob0cW.gif

For all the mods were talking about.

EDIT:

So do some want to talk about Hana for $199 now?

It's called a free market and competition. Serioisly, what is Hana's innovation for the extra cash? A milled block of aluminum that has issues. It's not my problem if they can't reap excessive profits just because they have access to an army of CNC machines and can cut a rectangular block.

What GB and Hcigar are doing is actually good for the market. If you want to charge $200 or more, give the consumer something the consumer values. If all Hana makes is another commodity box, then they get commodity prices. If they make something innovative and energizing with a value proposition for the consumer, they get a premium for that innovation.

Cimon: The numbers are impacted by the higher wage Hana pays folks to do sub-par assembly versus the lower wage paid by HCigar to do industry standard assembly. And volume.

I'm not convinced that Hana's are assembled here, good chance they're made in China.

Likely how the boxes (and DNA's) became fodder for copycat factories.

We must agree.. its business but dont forget EVOLV is US made.

Tell me now - is it logic/fair?

EVOLV (US) ---> HCigar (CH) <boom-boom, vroom-vroom> HCigar (CH) ---> GB (CH) ---> Vendors (US) = $117

..and now

EVOLV (US) ---> Hana/ect. (US) <boom-boom, vroom-vroom> = $199

Hana puts more of the customers' money in its pockets. Boom-boom etc lol.
