That would be good news. I ordered a VS DNA200 today to replace the VT200 I was going to cancel. Now I will hold off cancelling for a few days and see if anything comes of the complaints.
you will still want to cancel until they make the switch and run out of brass 510 units in stock & reorder when you are sure to get SS.

If they upgrade, it's likely they'd send out an announcement to distributors and vendors offering the upgrade on brass units with warranty coverage and/or a service repair. :)

Call me silly but I would much prefer it came with Stainless in the first place rather than hassle a warranty/service repair - especially if returning it to them is my cost.

hcigar seems to be telling the shop owners that people on forums are over reacting for no reason and the VT200 comes with a strong A1 Brass 510. So much hype and fail at the finish line.

Well yea....I'd be worried too if I were a vendor that just bought a couple hundred of them.

Seller: "And here we have the newest and best DNA200 on the market...with an A1 brass 510."

Buyer: "Will it tarnish?"

Seller: "Aaaaahhhh....yea, probably."

Buyer: "Can I upgrade to SS?"

Seller: "Aaaaahhhh....no."

Buyer: "Keep it, I'll buy a VS200 with an SS 510."

What Hcigar has failed to realize yet (I guess?) is that very few peeps are willing to settle for brass, we want SS cuz it's known to be stronger than brass and it doesn't tarnish. Peeps look at brass 510 and immediately visualize "NO!" It's not going to matter what Hcigar claims to be the hardness of the brass used, cuz until they have a reputation building high-quality stuff...they're still going to be seen as the "clone factory". Plus, brass tarnishes...SS doesn't.

But to top all of that off...for vendors, they can't sell it for less than $170/ea. So they could be stuck with a huge inventory that won't sell and can't reduce the price to at least get back their initial investment. They're looking at GIANT losses unless Hcigar upgrades to an SS 510.

Gotta go with what the market wants or you're gonna lose yer :censored:, just smart business. That's why every other known DNA200 mod has an SS 510, cuz it's what most users want.

I'd be sweating it if I were a vendor right now!

When is China going to realize that they need an American marketing adviser on their staff?

Although I haven't looked yet to see if there's anymore public updates on their multiple FB pages, according to what my insider says....they're still going to upgrade to SS.

It's going to interesting to see what the actual full reviews discover once reviewers really put the threads to the test!

Figure a month of heavy use should be an excellent indicator if they're going fail quickly, cuz any 'wobbly-play' should be an immediately red-flag.
