Hey guys, so i just picked up a vt200 and was really excited to try out the SS tc with the Uwell Crown .25 coils. So I went on steam engine and popped up the 316L wire and put the resistance to 0.3 on the website then downloaded the csv file to my pc. Then from there i uploaded the csv file to one of my profiles on the vt200. So I'm trying to vape now with that profile and it hits temp protection so quick it's killing the vape. Is there something I am doing wrong? dna noob here guys...

Also this problem isn't limited to the ss coil. I put a Ni200 coil on the vt200 and it also hits temperature protection with a second or two. There's gotta be something simple i am missing...

I also use the crown and the ni200 coils work fantastic. In theory temp control devices control your temp once the coil reaches the set temp. All the devices I have had prior to my dna200, they ramp down quick and you can definitely feel it on the vape. However, with the dna 200 your vape does not change and it works fantastic. With my VT200 and using my crown nickel coils, I have the preheat set to 85 watts, 520 F, and 80 watts. I have had the xcube 2, evic VT, sig 150 tc, and the snow wolf 200w, and those devices don't even compare to the quality of the vape using the dna 200. Also, the temp control works incredibly well. I was driving home last night from work I was not paying attention to my eliquid in my tank, and I could not figure out why I was not getting any vapor or flavor and my tank was bone dry. No dry hits, no burnt cotton and the coil is working like a charm. Also, if you have not done so, change your watt hours from 9 to 14.3 in escribe for your battery. You will extend the life by 69%.

It's supposed to flash "Temperature protected" on every atomizer i use? With the ni200 coil i get a much better vape on my sig 150tc

You can turn off the message and have it just display the temperature. In escribe under either theme or screen (I don't have it in front of me at the moment).

For the vape, each model of atty can behave a little differently depending on its static resistance. If the vape seems too cool, turn up the temp or increase the TCR.

Thats correct and It can be hard to find some (easygoing replacement) ..BUT im right in the middle of ''very interesting conversation/idea'' with my mate. Stay tuned!

EDIT:

Its HIGHLY possible that we can fit this as a backup LiPo.

$26 and it's in the UK, shipping would be very expensive to the US and it has to go thru customs.

68 X 33 X 20

3mm over in width....might not fit?

But why are you looking for cheap replacement packs when Hcigar has already released spare pack sales to vendors?

I don't see the rationale of installing (or even buying) a "maybe" over buying/installing a "guaranteed".

Shek, do you have a link where they are available or know the release date?

They've already been released, check with your vendor to see when they'll have them in stock.

Wholesale is under $10, retail guessing $15-$20.

And i did it, so my battery indicator is more accurate. So..
I am not sure what you mean by "so" or "more accurate". Go ahead and change the settings back in escribe to default, ie 720mah and 14.3 watts and upload those setting to your device. Use those setting for a couple of days. Then go back to escribe, and actually input the correct settings for the battery in the VT200 ie 1300mah and 14.3wh upload. You now will have the correct settings for the battery in your mod. You will dramatically increase battery life. I was getting about 3.5 hrs on a full charge with the incorrect settings, and now I am getting over 6 hrs. HCIGAR posted this to their facebook page 3 days ago. I corrected it 24 hrs after having my device. However, it is your choice. If you think this does not make a difference, why not change your settings to 100mah, and 1.11 watt hours? If you really don't care about your battery life, that setting may benefit you. With those settings uploaded to your VT200 you should be able to get about 30 min of battery life.

Ok, I changed my settings in escribe, cimon, to 50mah at .56 watt hours and uploaded to my device. I set my stop watch on my smart phone and filled my crown tank with 3.8 mls of ejuice. I am using nickel coils with preheat at 85 watts and temp on 520. My battery went dead in 13 min and 26 seconds. I vaped 3.6 mls of juice. I hope this helps.

Can you define "went dead"? My understanding of how the set battery capacity relates to the operation of the thing, it's just the battery meter (I think). Did it actually cut power with weak battery or was it just the meter?

You are absolutely correct. The battery couldn't care less what the mod thinks it's level is. The mod looks to voltage for it's battery information. That adjustment just moves your battery indicator around a little bit. Kind of fudging, if you will.
