Sure is a while lot of talk about something that's not out yet and things we have little control over. Tough crowd.
When the warranty is up.So, if I understand correctly..... The vendor and the manufacturer are both responsible for supporting the device. But one is going to refer you to the other and it's likely that neither will support the product. Furthermore, there will be absolutely no support unless you paid 169 dollars.
It only took reading 50 posts saying the same damn thing to get that through my head.
So, when will this be available?
Sweet. I will get a couple. When the warranty is up.
Awesome! Just wait until they go on sale for 120.00 and then break it, be the first to come here and tell us all about the vendor vs manufacturer warranty woes.Sweet. I will get a couple.
That's the plan. I've already written it off as a public service.Awesome! Just wait until they go on sale for 120.00 and then break it, be the first to come here and tell us all about the vendor vs manufacturer warranty woes.
By the way, just received my quote from HCigar.
Damn!, I wish I knew enough people here who want one.
You could make your own invoice with MSRP value if necessary. How will they ever be able to find out?But wouldn't Co-Op price void warranty? Proof of purchase required for warranty.

I once made my own invoice when customs was asking for it. I bought an item from China and they wanted to have proof for the declared value. So I made a Chinese looking invoice (complete with stamp) and mailed it to them. Too much trouble for them to sort it out. As long as they have an official looking paper it's OK

Evolv and another supplier are selling the Fullymax pack that Evolv used in their prototype, so it stands to reason that peeps are gonna use what Evolv used......
And to touch on the on-board balancer and monitoring system, most peeps in the DNA200 coop thread wanted Evolv to add-on a balancer plug so that user's could connect their own high-quality balancer....instead of using the on-board one.
Building a mod this way ain't rocket science since the DNA200 has everything on board. All the manufacturer does is slap a case around it and add a battery. There are a number of folks that are interested and one step up and run this, but lets see inside the mod and get on the subject of do we want one or not and is it a good mod or not. The warranty is moot as is most for items bought direct from China.

Warranty for the board is covered by Evolve.
The dna200 I got from you turned into a dud. The generous guys at evolv sent me a full mod with no questions asked. I was shocked and amazed. Best costumer service I've come across lately. It's not a bad mod for $50.I disagree.
Having personally distributed a couple hundred of the DNA200 boards, and watching the builds that have resulted from this distribution, I can tell you that the # of folks using the FullyMax battery is a very small minority, probably due to its high cost and low availability.
The vast majority by far (and no I did not keep a running tally, so I cant quote exact #s) have used the Turnigy Nano-Tech batteries. Hyperion , Duratrax, Gens Ace, Flightpower, Rhino, and MaxAmp were also used. I have only seen one Zippy used so far.
