So Grimm bashes the VT200 calling it 'cheap', the finish sucks, mushy buttons (bashing Evolv cuz they're onboard buttons), crap battery life.... and then says he likes it better than the VS200.

What does that say for the Vaporshark, must be total garbage?

And since when does a reviewer dive in after a few hours use?

I used to like Grimm, but this is exactly why his popularity has diminished over the years....cuz his reviews are essentially meaningless. That wasn't even a review, it was a 4 minute WASTE of time!

Grimm reviews = sad joke, don't bother watching.

Hes calling it ''VT Twenty'' on very begining too. It can just give a clue whats going on next. ;)

I really think that they have too much to review and cant focus on what they sayin. Im still full of respect to Todd.

Grimm's short look was disappointing. He usually more or less does better than this. This is the first review I have seen for the VT200 that some one said the buttons are mushy. He normally uses the product for awhile so he says before he does a review. I have seen others say this device is very good lacking the 510. But everyone has a opinion and I always read everyone's as we all have different ones.

VT200 arrived this morning. Early impressions are good except for the slightly tarnished Brass 510 everything else seems to be good.
The mod comes not configured with the DNA 200. Mod resistance, case analyser, battery analyser should be run by the end user. My VS was fully configured.
The VT feels a bit heavier than the VS and the finish is very slippery. A silicon cover is a must or you will drop it. The curves are nice but the mod is harder to hold than the VS.
The slightly tarnished Brass 510 gives .02 higher resistance than all my other mods. I will mess around some more when I have time to properly set it up.
Excuse my frenchies hair on the couch. She was as excited as I was.

Oh and a stripped hex screw on top.

Informed the UK dealer about the stripped screw and he says units are not to be opened by user so no problem there.
Thought the batteries were user replaceable? Isn't HCigar supposed to start selling the VT200 batteries separately? Wouldn't that make it difficult for the user to have to send it back to the dealer to swap batteries?

If you paid MSRP, it's under warranty and anything "stripped" is a manufacturing defect and is covered by the warranty. I'd be hammering the vendor in a big way.

And dayem that's one badly tarnished 510...geez.

My VT200 is with the delivery courier - to be delivered Monday latest, but possibly today. I haven't read the thread so a bit disconcerted to see @smokewell 's summary at the bottom of it :)

Also disappointed they haven't set up Mod Resistance. It would have been very easy to measure the resistance of a sample of the wiring and 510 and apply that single figure to all the mods using eScribe.

They could easily have done it on a completed mod and then either enter it in escribe or at the least publish the values so the purchasers could enter it themselves. Just short a good thick post dripper with a piece of thick copper wire in the posts and let the atomizer analyzer feature read the resistance. The recommendation was to use no more than 80% of that value as mod resistance so (I believe) a "negative" calculated resistance value would never come into play (if, for example, an atty with less contact and/or static resistance were later used).

Recipients of these mods can do that, also run case analyzer to setup thermal properties of the mod, run battery analyzer to obtain the exact discharge curve of the battery, but as you say, the manufacturer should have done all that.

Btw guys. Can u write quick "how to do" resistance setup for new Box in EScribe.

It's really not that critical in the bigger picture but . . .

On a quality RDA, clean the connection of the 510 and the posts with contact cleaner or ISO alcohol. Clean a short length of thick copper wire -- 12 or 14 AWG should do the job. Mount the copper wire across the posts of the RDA -- dead short across the posts. Use atomizer analyzer and read the resistance. Make sure you get a stable reading with good connections. If it's anything more than 0.000, take 80% of that value and enter it as the mod resistance in the mod tab. Remove the shorted RDA. Done.

You should be sending it right back where you got it from in my opinion you paid for a device that should not becoming to you with a stripped screw. The mod was built to be able to change batteries if need be. If you try to get the screw off and do damage then Hcigar might not fix it. I know you said they offered to send replacement screws but suppose the screw won't come out and you cause damage then you will be screwed. Would the 510 tarnish even before using it? I have other brass stuff and never had it tarnish that quick. Maybe I'm just nit picky. when I buy something I want it perfect when I receive it.

No option was given. I have contacted Hcigar directly. Let's see what they will respond.

Well hopefully they will respond for you. I wrote them awhile ago about the VT40 and wanted to know about the 510 and some other questions and never got a reply back so contacted a online vendor and they took the time out and answered my questions.
