Wish they did... when I select the red one availability changes from in-stock to pre-order.

Sorry Char,

I just double checked to make sure it wasn't something like that and got the same thing you got.

They could have made the "pre-order" a little smaller.

I wrote to VapeNW about 3 hours ago or so and inquired about the red VT75 saying "preorder". They responded and said they did in fact have them in stock. So, maybe they do have them in! If you get it from them, make sure you use their 20% off preorder code!

Given the state of the current 26650 batteries, the DNA75 using a single 26650 won't work as well as a single 18650 as far as wattage/power output, why would anyone buy one? From what I have read the majority of 26650s are NOT high amperage, and even attempting to use them at anything near 75 watts their capacity(time between charges) is greatly reduced. My read on the situation is if you vape below 50 watts you should be ok, above not so much... Even TC is questionable depending on the coils you use....I use dual coils, SS317L between 1.6ohms, and 2.4ohms... at about 500F... power used at this is about 60 watts.....I don't see a 26650 battery doing well in this situation..... I know there are a few according to Mooch -->

  • AWT Yellow 75A 4500mAh
  • Basen Black 4500mAh
  • Brillipower Green 80A 4500mAh
  • Efest Green 20A 4200mAh
  • Efest Purple 40A 4200mAh (Not recommended yet due to the one dud cell)
  • MNKE Orange 35A 3500mAh (NOT RECOMMENDED, due to all the fakes being sold)
  • MXJO Yellow 35A 3500mAh
That said, aren't these all re-wraps that can change at anytime?!?!?

Again according to Mooch -- >

26650 Safety Grades and Pulse Performance Data
The batteries I tested can change what's underneath the wrap at any time. Since there are no 26650's from Samsung, Sony, or LG available to us this can happen any time, even if the battery is not being counterfeited.

My take on the above is buying 26650 batteries is a roll of the dice, as they can and will change without notice. I can't believe all this FDA nonsense, when the FTC should be going after ALL the companies that make false claims about their batteries!!!!!! I'm just saying.....it's a pretty clear cut case of outright fraud, which ALSO puts the public's safety in danger!!!!!

I appreciate your concern and your advice. I'm not at all familiar with 26650s, but I have tons of 18650s, that I personally intend to use with this mod (there's an 18650 adapter included).

Thanks for the heads up, you solidified my decision to not use 26650s with this mod.

I'll be using 26650's in it, but I don't vape any higher than 25 watts though, why anyone would buy it to use at 75 watts makes no sense, why not get the 200w instead if want to vape at high watts, think this chip was made for people who don't want to vape at higher watts.

I like 26650 mods due to the run time without being too big, I've got a stout that I use at work, and vape heavy at 23 watts and still have over 1/4 of battery left at the end of the day, I can't do that with a single 18650 mod.

I got a shipment notice from VapeNW yesterday for my red VT75. Maybe they have more and the pre-order thing is a glitch.

If any of you folks purchase an Hcigar VT75 be sure to torque down the little 510 connector plate with two holes in it so it's extra tight. This mod is great when that plate is tight and terrible when it is not because a loose plate causes wild swings in apparent atomizer resistance. Unfortunately my new VT75 had a loose 510 plate that made it all but unusable as-received. Once I realized the problem and detected the source I tightened that plate and the VT performance has been excellent since.

@iamiam In the mod tab of Escribe should be a place to input your battery watt hours. I only have the DNA200 mods but that's where you input it for them. A single 30Q is 11.1 watt hours. After inputting that number make sure you click the tab at the top of Escribe - Save Settings to device to save them. I'm not at home so I'm not looking at Escribe but you get the general idea.

    Cheers,
    Steve

Edit. It might be upload settings to device. Like I said I'm not looking at Escribe atm
