Its the flash on my phone
David

@GeorgeS, when I saw your pink statement I took a look at mine and it is really more of a slightly metallic burgundy red.

David,
I like the RX200 (and yes it is a beast) but when I am running around 45 to 55 whats I get better batter life so I don't complain too much. Beside if I am ever out in a boat and need an anchor... well I'll be all set. :)

Burgundy Red works for us. :)

George,

Don't hold me to the Burgandy, last night it had a Burgundy cast to it. Today in the sunlight It appears more red, it is somewhat of a textured metallic color so it is very dependent on the way the light hits it. But PINK it is not. :)

Ok, I now want a RED one. Who has a 4July deal on one today?

[EDIT] Never mind - I just ordered one from vapenw.

I rarely get multiple copies of the same mod. Sure I have a hand full of Vmax V3's and V5's and two VTC mini's but these are the exception rather than the rule.

For the vaping I do I'm sold on the 26650 form factor. Single battery with dual 18650 like battery life. I'm also sold on the VT75, it fits good in the hand, solid construction and I like the buttons. The DNA75 has been a pleasure to use. I like the ability to label each wire type and switching between profiles is a breeze.

Besides, I just really wanted a RED one. ;)

I'm pretty sure this is the only VT75 thread I post in, so I'm sure I've said...

While I'm not as sold on 26650s as you, yet... I'm damn glad to have mine.

The "handfeel" is just tremendous (and I'm all of 5'7").
And the deep RED (yes, it's red) is gorgeous.

I'm not really even seeing the effects of the 85% efficiency, with either size cell.
But then again I have, and used to use , a Sig75. That's some bad battery life.

For domestic vendors, the best sale price I saw was the ~ $66 at VNW. Ya did good. :p

Jim, if you've stumbled across my posts in other threads my builds trend to being very low mass, low energy with high accuracy and efficiency. I've migrated all my dual coil builds to 2x18650 mods. (I actually took the last one out of service this weekend)

The 26650 works well for "toodle puffing" to mild "mod romping" (whatever they call it). As you've likely seen anything more than ~30W (or even ~20W) drive will create a (large to ginormous) battery sag. Since I vape in the < 10 to < 30W range I avoid much of the sag and get some benefit of the higher maH rating of the larger batteries.

I can only get 6-10hrs tops out of my single 18650 mods (that is with LG HG2's) while the 26650's will last all day and into tomorrow. That is of course as long as I don't run up against the low battery death that the sag sets off. (then again, if I watch it a SXminiM will sag dramatically after the 1st 1/3 or 1/2 of maH is used up)

For this weekend I can actually say that outside of the lone SXminiQ I've used 26650 powered devices exclusively. (I vaped 1/2+ tank from a KFv4 and lost only 0.2 battery on a 7-22 in the process)

I've read that some years ago Sony had a decent CDR 26650 battery that they discontinued. To bad as it seems that more OEM's are offering mods with the 26650 form factor and batteries available today are unable to drive even medium powered builds let alone the 100W that the OEM's are rating these mod's for.

Then again, I started buying into 2x18650's and 26650's for the extended battery life, not the down right silly maximum output the OEM's claim the mods can do.

Maybe one of the battery OEM's will step up and fill the need for a less droop 26650. I'd buy them if they were available.

I'm generally only fractionally higher than your max norm at aroung 30-40w, but I agree... sag kills.
It was an eye-opener last week getting my first look at the live graphing... 0.4-.6v sags.

For 6-8 weeks (or more) prior to getting the DNAs 10 days ago, that's been my complaint (and I only learned about the Sony discontinuation a few days ago... I'd been looking for those).

My first guess is that the earlier 26650s were specc'ed for other consumer goods... flashlights etc., and they have yet to catch up to vaping's high CDR demands.

At least... I'm hoping they'll catch up. :(

I'm starting to think that the 26650 powered DNA75's are a niche market for vaping.

On one end the ~1.4-1.5 ohm resistance ceiling coupled with the 6V maximum output voltage limits its usefulness in higher resistance TC builds.

On the other end the voltage sag of the available batteries limit its usefulness for higher power builds.

A few hours ago my VT75 decided the SS430 tank I had mounted (built for ~1.3ohms) was to high resistance and now that tank can't be used with the profile I was using at the time unless I want to use it in power mode! (I copied the profile information over to other empty profiles, lowered the preheat and driving wattage and it works fine on THOSE profiles)

If I were coming from a SXminiM (or other popular single 18650 mod) hoping to get some DNA goodness and extended battery life I'd be more than a little disappointed.

I wonder if OEM's will be able to get 2x18650 versions of the DNA75 out the door before August 8th?

    Just ordered a dual 18650 DNA75 mod :D Lost Vape Therion DNA75

Not that I have any problems with my VT75, in fact it is because it works so well, that made me want another DNA75 device, and the therion is just so good looking :)

But I am a low wattage vapor, so I don't have the sag problem, I use a 26650 stout at work and VT75 at home and never had the battery sag problem on either, but I haven't gone over 35 watts on either of them.
