Has anyone gotten headaches when they made the switch from analogs to E-cigs?

I made the switch on Tuesday, Aug 31, when I went to 7-11 and bought a cheapo e-cig (Tomorrow LH (Japanese)) because I was tired of waiting for my Blu starter kit to arrive (and it still hasn't arrived...almost 2 weeks now). I smoked 2 analogs last Tuesday, and none since then. That makes about 3 and a half days (not including last Tuesday) analog free.

I have noticed that I have been getting headaches when I go for a little while without vaping. I never had this problem when I went a while without an analog. The craving for a cigarette is still there when I go a while without either, but now headaches are added. The headache will get less severe or go away when I'm vaping, but it returns whenever I take a break from it.

Is this normal during the crossover? Will it go away soon?

I don't want this to eventually cause me to go back to analogs!!!

Could it be because of the piece of s**t I am using to vape with right now? I would switch to the Blu kit if it ever got here...

I used an expensive cheap-o for about 3 weeks and had a headache off an on the whole time. I went back to analogs and just tonight ordered a new e-cig online and I am hoping this will help me. Maybe someone else can help, but I have heard lots about the liquid being a headache-causer, so, my guess is, yes, it's the cheapy you are vaping.

Too much or too little nic can cause headaches.
If your getting an upset tummy (bathroom breaks kind) then its too much nic. If not, it could be too little.
Do you know how much nic is in the carts you got with your kit?
It could be the juice composition in your kit, but I have a feeling it might be not enough nic (from what you describe) and the headaches are you detoxing until you top up with nic again. Many of the cheap kits come with a very low nic juice (6mg or so) which may not take away cravings or keep you sane lol.

Nicotine, like caffeine, is a vasoconstrictor. They both make your blood vessels get smaller, including the blood vessels in your brain. It may be that these blood vessels go into spasm if they don't get the nicotine that they are used to. I have not gotten any headaches from switching to e-cigs but if I don't get enough caffeine I will get a terrible headache. The only cure for the not enough caffeine headache is a cup of coffee. If you get headaches that don't go away or that have other attributes such as visual changes you should see a doctor.

I went from smoking almost 2 packs a day of Marlboro Lights to 18mg Marlboro flavored liquid from Rocky Mountain Vapor. I just now woke up from sleeping for about 3 hours and had a bad headache...a few hits on the E-cig and the headache is gone. It could be a lack of nicotine in my system between times I'm using the e-cig, I guess, but I never had headaches from lack of nicotine between times I smoked. I have slept 8 hours or more with no headaches on many, many occasions. I have been on 16 hour flights with no headaches, etc.

Why is a lack of nicotine giving me headaches between uses of the e-cig, but it never happened between uses of analog cigs?

Will this stop happening soon? I hope so, because this may be cause to go back to analogs to avoid the pain...and I really want to stay off analogs!!

I do get them too, weird ones, like behind my eyes and between my eyes, but I notice if I plow down the water, it is better....I find I vape more than I smoked...LOL...but that is okay, it's a new thing right now and I'm sure I will even out eventually, too busy trying out all the flavors....LOL...everyone is different, I notice that if I use the juice with just PG in it, it gets worse, so I ordered some with 80% PG and 20% VG and those seem to fair better, but if I use the LOW nic it happens, I use 24 mg nic and it is okay, ordering some 34 to try and see if that doesn't even it off, think it's alot of trial and error. Don't lose your patience with it, keep trying, you can get small bottles of different kinds and found Madvape to be economical and good blends.

Occasionally I decide to stop drinking coffee. If I stop altogether the headache just is too much to stand and Tylenol doesn't touch it. However if I mix decaffeinated and regular coffee 50/50 I don't get the headache. If I drink the 50/50 coffee for a few weeks, then I can make it 25/75 caffeinated vs decaffeinated and still be ok. Eventually I can wean myself from the coffee with out pain. I suspect that while you are getting enough nicotine to prevent the headaches its not enough to keep you going if you don't vape for awhile. How many mg/mL are you using?

The first few weeks when quitting reg smokes *also* entails the withdrawal of the other 3000 chemicals + MAOIs. I, too, got persitent headaches along with general loopiness for that time. Now, while is still get headaches from time to time after 2.5 months without a smoke, is much less often and happens mostly when trying out new juices and/or mg strengths... too strong or too weak.

Might wish to give your body time to purge all those other nasties.

Yup, can't be due to the nicotine withdrawal as most of the articles seem to point to. Must be all the "other" chemicals i'm no longer getting.
Not craving analogs means im getting my nic fix; headaches and what-not must be something else. It's probably a combination of things...

i rarely get sick at all and headaches are extremely rare, til now.... BUT, i'm breathing so much better!Wow!

low nic like someone else mentioned is my thought..
However, could be that vaping dehydrates you big time and this also causes major headaches when I woke up too... been avoided since I started drinking lots of fluids and especially a glass of tea or water before bed.. See if that helps ya.. and like someone mentioned ya are going through detox as well, after a few days or so, things won't be so bad

When I first made the switch, I was using juice from china that was made with PG. It was a cheap kit that worked nice, but I too was getting headaches, along with neck pain. I recently bought a new one, with 100% VG juice. I no longer have the headaches or neck pains and I'm enjoying vaping more than analogs now. I'd recommend trying one that doesn't contain PG and see how that goes for you. It was a world of difference for me.

When I switched from a blu to a 510 I started to get headaches but they went away after 1st few days, then when I started to crave a cigarette i swapped from 16mg to 32 mg and instantly got a headache, went down to 24 and now i dont get headaches or the cravings anymore, I think its just a combo of what juice you use and at what mg and what device with what resistance atomizer, theres so many things that can cause a headache that you will eventually narrow down and get everything tuned in right, takes time to adjust
