I started smoking when I was about 9 or so when I figured out that if I stole one of my dad's cigarettes I could make the throat ticks go away (Tourette's), and that started a 50+ year habit interupted only by attempts to use the patch, etc. All of witch didn't work. Turns out that there are two do-hickies in the brain that are influenced by nicotine, and the patch only does one of them. So it's safe to say that vaping causes a major difference in the way I feel.

Hi everyone? I'm getting off the analogs this week. I have read a bunch of health benefits people have experienced when they quit the analogs and started gaping. I was curious if anyone has stopped snoring and experienced an increase in energy? What other health benefits have you experienced?

    I was a 27 year smoker....
    Benefits from vaping "I" personally experienced are;

Got my taste and smell back
No weight gain whatsoever, in fact, I've lost weight while vaping
No longer burn my stuff up or smell like 'old' smoke
Got my 'teenage' voice back and can actually sing again
    TONS more energy
No more smoker's cough or lung congestion - (I no longer get colds even, but I attribute that to going VEGAN also)

In essence; I got my 'health' back... no regrets here

Same as what she said, except I did gain about 20 lbs. I leveled off though, and everybody says I look better (if they say so:))

the best part is singing. I can keep better harmony, and can sing leads with more control (deeper breaths). Now if I could just sing lead while I play lead......:D

Not just me, no one in my home has had so much as a sniffle since I started vaping. (sure wish the PG would also do something for seasonal allergies tho)

PG is even vaperized into the ventilation systems of hospitals to reduce airborne virus and bacteria, and every time we blow that lushes cloud of vapor over our hands, it like using some sanitizing gel on them.

I only smoked for a little over 3 years, but even so when I switched to vaping I experienced the following:
colds/sinus issues went away much faster
    voice became much clearer
no more congestion/coughing due to smoking
    increased energy
    weight loss
clothes/hair/car no longer smell like smoke
asthma has improved greatly and I rarely need my inhaler anymore
    no more rapid heartbeat spells

Best of luck in your journey to a smoke-free life! It's worth it, and vaping is so much more fun in my opinion.

I only smoked for about 3 years as well, but when I switched the advantages were obvious:

    1. LOADS more energy (it's like I was in a fog all day long and didn't even recognize it until I switched)
    2. Reduced snoring
    3. I can actually sleep through an entire night without waking up, and I feel more rested in the morning
    4. I don't smell like crap anymore!
    5. I can TASTE things again
    6. I can SMELL things again
    7. My VISION has improved (though this may be circumstantial)
    8. I can run up and down a flight of stairs and not feel like I'm dying, which is a plus :)

When you say reduced snoring do you mean you don't snore as loud or you just don't snore as often? My wife hates the fact that I wake her up snoring pretty regularly.

There really aren't any health "benefits" from vaping. At least nothing that has been medically proven over time. Although Propylene Glycol is in fact an antimicrobial which may or may not have any benefits. So it's not really about what the vape is doing to you as much as what the cigarette is NOT doing to you.

All the nicotine with heavenly taste without the stink! Hop on board and join the revolution!

I can't really say much about this, other than that I assume that there is very high probability of greatly reduced cancer risk. Probably less than quitting smoking with no nicotine replacement, though.

Just thought you might want to check out this sub forum, if you haven't seen it:

    Health, Safety and E-Smoking

There are a lot of experiences related in there.
