Since switching to vaping in November of 2011, my blood pressure has dropped 35 points, cholesterol down 35 points and all circulation has improved dramatically. All three results are direct from doctor appointments in the past two weeks. Needless to say, all three docs are now totally sold on the benefits of vaping vs. smoking.

I guess I may as well throw this in...

Before I started vaping almost three years ago I could barely hold my breath for 30 seconds.
About a year ago I held my breath for 90 seconds without too much trouble.

About three days ago I tried it again and held my breath for 105 seconds without too much trouble.

This is Awesome! This is what doctor's and people against vaping need to see! I as well made sure to point out to my doctor after my most recent results that I had quit smoking and started vaping. That is the kind of buzz we need doctor's talking about! Good job! Keep em coming, this is my favorite thread yet! Thanks guys!

Vaping since Jan. 2010; I'd been a 3 pack a day+ smoker for decades.

I'm effortlessly happy at 115 - 120 pounds. (I'm 62.) Previous attempts to quit smoking precipitated really wild weight gain.
I run. My lungs are really clear - after I coughed up the gunk they felt like creaky bellows opening, then deep, deep breaths comfortable and easy again. Love that.
I have not had a cold, sore throat or bronchial distress since 2010. (That one, widely reported, sounds absolutely implausible. I don't announce it to people because it makes me sound ridiculous - cure for the common cold? Right. It doesn't happen for everyone, but for many. Sort of spooky, actually, but absolutely true. I suspect it's the antibacterial properties of PG/VG.)

And happiest of all - I can sing again. Nothing fabulous, but I come from a singing family, and my voice had shriveled to an uncomfortable bass rasp. One day I was sort of humming while I worked and it was weird - didn't tickle or constrict. Timidly attempted a full note - holy cow!
I warble around the house all day now and hardly anyone throws pots and pans at me.
Here, listen:

LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA la LAAAAAAAA

I know, it sounds crazy, right?
But it seems to be a fairly common side-effect of vaping.

The fact is, I have only been sick once in the last three years.
I could feel it coming on and could tell it was going to be a bad one.

Well, I got a fever of 101.5 and some sore throat but that was it.
It lasted one day, and then it was pretty much gone, and I could hardly believe it.

And I have gone on a number of vacations in these last three years, a few of them to exotic places.
I would often get very sick when I went on vacation, and almost ALWAYS when I went somewhere exotic.

But since I started vaping... nope... nothing.

All of this may not have anything to do with inhaling PG/VG frequently, but I sure believe it.
And why not? The stuff has been used in hospital ventilation systems to kill microscopic nasties.

Very cool! See, you are an example of how I want to be at your age (meaning nothing but good from that). I know that even at my age now when I was smoking I wasn't able to do half what I can do now. And yea, I agree about the singing. I am a fellow singer too, and could never hit certain notes I hit now compared to when I smoked!

I agree with this all the way, and even discussed its truth with my docs at my last hospital visit. It obviously has great values to be used like this! Nice!

Man, I know we discussed teeth, and I believe I mentioned an improvement on that earlier. However, I have had this broken molar in the back of my mouth for awhile now. Long before I quit smoking. The damn thing hurt so bad that I had lined up having it surgically removed. Long story short I had to cancel. I had just started vaping around that time. So, after a few weeks or so the tooth was not constantly throbbing. But I still couldn't chew on it. Well, even though it needs fixed, I will say that over 5 months in to vaping now I just realized I am chewing on the damn thing! It hasn't hurt for so long I forgot about it. I am not sure how much damage smoking does to teeth, but all I know is in the past when I was smoking, if I had a tooth problem it Would Not go away on its own as far as pain was concerned! Just thought I would throw this in the mix again after I realized I was chompin' my tater chips on my broken molar earlier without a care in the world! Haha! Probably not the best idea though! Lol.

First of all...I'm no dentist. Just from an experience I had in the past with smoking after a tooth extraction. When you were smoking, you were probably having "dry socket" due to exposed nerves being irritated by the hot smoke. They have probably healed over time since you have quit smoking.

Today marks 7 days w/o an analog and I discovered an unexpected perk.

I spend a lot of time finishing cabinets, using an HVLP/pot system to spray lacquer and CV. While my booth is well ventilated I would inhale a TON of overspray due to the fact that I would never wear a respirator. I could barely smell the stuff (thanks cigarettes) and so I never bothered to put on a mask. Well now that my smell is starting to come back the stuff I am spraying is downright overpowering so I am wearing a mask again.

Not only did vaping eliminate the thousands of chemicals I was getting from analogs but it eliminated the 550 VOC lac/vc that I was inhaling by the gallon on a daily basis.

Thanks vaping!

I've posted before about my increased lung capacity, I love being able to really breathe again, and being able to carry on a conversation while walking, having my legs tire out long before I'm out of breath. I do yoga, and sometimes I used to end up having a coughing fit trying to breathe from my diaphram, and now it just feels good when my lungs expand- I feel like I can inhale forever.

I've also lost a little over 5lbs, and my blood sugars are in much better control. I have type 1 diabetes, and my A1c is down to 7 from a 9 three months ago- that's a significant change for the better.

My skin looks better, and the dark circles that have lived under my eyes since my twenties are noticeably lighter, too.

Im noticing increased blood flow to ummm ..other areas and spontaneous erections. No joke, am feeling like a teenager again

I've also felt like I was 18 again in that dept. To go even further, I've been told things......well.....taste amazing now. Tips hat to Pink Spot Black Mamba (Cranberry in it) and Pink Spot Pineapple. I about died laughing, but she was dead serious.

Outside of cost, everything about vaping is on the +
