I quit smoking cigs over a month ago and keep being surprised by changes, mostly good ones, since I started vaping. First, the sore throat and coughing. Then some changes with my ears and sinuses, likely because of the slowly disappearing tar. I'm starting to wonder if years of cig smoking may mean that such changes happen noticably for longer than just a month or two after the switch to vape.

Anyone here been at it for longer than me? Just curious.

I've been off cigs for over 3 months now and I feel 'lighter' in my lungs. Before I was a pack a day smoker and it pretty much agreed with me, didn't have a hacking cough or most of the usual symptoms that long time smokers usually get [ smoked for almost 40 years ] But with the increased sense of smell and taste, the 'lightness' i feel is very nice.
I can take a real deep breath now where before i would get winded.I also haven't been sick with the flu or a cold and my nasal passages aren't dry and 'cloggy' like they used to be :)

my hayfever, or whatever it is, is much improved. i don't expect it to go away completely since i had it before starting to smoke, but apparently smoking was aggravating it more than i expected. skin's less dry. it's hard to tell much re: physical stuff since i'm not terribly active in the winter (read, ... on the couch)... but i have high hopes.

regarding unpleasant effects from vaping, after two months the horrible nose crusties are finally going away. i'm very glad because i was starting to consider vaselining my nostrils.

yeah, any secret crushes anyone had on me just evaporated.

I started late December, and I'm convinced my sense of smell & taste gets better each week, still.

I have developed a slight "wheeze"...haven't had one of those in years, so I'm a tad concerned about that. Probably cause some mo at work told me vaping would give me pneumonia, so of course now I'm slightly paranoid in a hypochondriac kind of way. The fact that I quit smoking/started vaping smack dab in the middle of winter alleviates my concerns somewhat...might just be good ol' fashioned congestion. Time will tell...

My sinuses bother me on and off, but that's not a vaping issue, that I know. I was hoping that not smoking would help, but nope. It is what it is I guess.

It keeps getting better. My sense of smell returned, I can now take 2 mile walks and feel good about it..not stopping to pant and wheeze after a 1/2 mile!
I lost weight for the first 6 months but added some back during the Christmas Holidays.
My BP and diabtes has improved while vaping..I think the diabetes improved because I snack less due to vaping.
My hair is shiny again and my skin feels good. I think all the extra water helped there.
But I think the best benifit for me has been that my Dr. doesn't give me the "lecture" any more when she listens to my lungs!

After such a short time I feel way better - I expected initial bad stuff 'cause I was such a heavy, long term smoker, but it never happened. I feel great and can breathe to the bottom of my lungs without a tickle and a cough. That was really fast - I started these because that was just getting way out of hand, along with the total energy drain.

And my singing voice is very slowly returning, which deeply distresses the kids.
:D
Only thing new thing happening is that sometimes I just can't taste 'em, or they suddenly taste yuk, except menthols. Then I can again, big time yum. That's apparently ubiquitous, lotta threads on it - I've tried ginger, liquids, brushing my tongue in case it's PG coated, etc.. not a very big deal, but sort of sad when it happens.
