My exercising and resting heart rate continue to decline. I must have had high bp and didn't know it! I've been vaping since 9/1/09 and completely stopped cigs on 9/30/09, so I've been at this for several months now. I never coughed up anything when I started, which kind of worried me. I got sick a couple weeks ago and I made up for lost time. Won't go into details but it scared me for a couple of days, now my lungs are clearer than they've ever been. I have a 2 storey house and I remember looking at the stairs and thinking I didn't want to climb them. Now I don't even think about them at all. I just go. My sense of smell is very acute now, as others have said not always a good thing. The exhaust fumes from cars really bugs me now, I could barely detect it before, but now it's like being in a gas chamber.
I'm not sure that not coughing up the gunk in the beginning is a good thing, most do cough at first but there are some that do not. Makes me wonder why because the lungs do need to clear themselves out, esp. if you've been smoking for years and years. 38 years for me. But after more than 5 months, mine cleared when I got sick. I don't know what anything has to do with anything else, with vaping, because there is just not enough known about it yet. No matter, I'll continue to vape and will never smoke cigs again.
