hi,
i have been using ecigs for over 6 months with no ill effects however several of my colleagues have stopped using them because of the rumour they have heard that vaping is causing water on the lungs, i have tried to find out as much info as i can and it seems to be nonsense, i feel it is just an excuse to go back to the tobacco but i would appreciate any info on the matter:unsure:

Actually, I've heard of this worry before and studied it awhile ago. I read somewhere, and it makes sense, that the small amount of moisture we inhale is absorbed by the body and we do not retain water in our lungs. Trust me, I know alot of chain vapers that have been vaping for years and there's never been a report of water in the lungs that I've heard of. I also decided awhile ago that I would rather avoid tar in the lungs, amongst all the other chemicals and carbon monoxide that develops from cigs.

Also, I have read that PG is put in the air filters at hospitals to help kill some of the germs and viruses in the air. Funny thing that every single person in my office got sick last flu season and I was the only one that didn't. It sort of made me wonder if my vaping is what helped me :)

Yep, I'm still Vaping! :rickroll:

There have been many studies done on inhalation of PG, none have shown any negative results and in fact have been proven to be theraputic even antibiotic in there use. You can read about some of them here.

Oh Noes! Water on the lungs! Ban all humidifiers! Move everyone away from high humidity areas! I'll buy all their property for pennies on the dollar! ;)

Seriously though, I've been vaping for almost 3 years and just had an extensive pre-op work up. Beside the problem I was having surgery for, healthy as a horse, nothing unusual on my chest films. I think you're correct and it's just an excuse.
