Update: An identical comment by NACCHO was just posted today, confirming our initial suspicions that they may have had a hand in this atrocity.

You can use the same letter I posted on page 2 to let NACCHO know how you feel about their position. I most certainly will.

True astroturfing. We see this in certain political rallies - AFSCUME union gets the day off if they attend. Skews the picture of support.

I'm going to add another paragraph based on this publication by Joel Nitzkin. Something along these lines:

Calls to suppress, restrict, or ban electronic vaporizers are tantamount to the cold, calculated, and systematic murder of 44 million current American smokers, and 1.22 billion world-wide (Hanley 2014). Evidence presented by Nitzkin (2014b) suggests that propaganda, lies, and misinformation regarding tobacco harm reduction (THR) perpetrated by TCI and disseminated by so-called "health" groups and public departments have already caused nearly 10 million unnecessary deaths related to smoking in the past 20 years alone (480,000 deaths per year × 20 years). Even under conservative assumptions regarding the success of THR initiatives using ecigs, Nitzkin (2014b) estimates that up to 4.8 million American lives could be saved over the next 20 years. Nitkin (2014b) concludes «[a] carefully structured tobacco Harm Reduction (THR) initiative, with e-cigarettes as a prominent THR modality, added to current tobacco control programming, is the most feasible policy option likely to substantially reduce tobacco-attributable illness and death in the United States over the next 20 years.»

So here I am trying to get some contact info for the would-be desk-murderers at NACCHO, when their site does a vanishing act... I wonder if Anonymous got wind of their nefarious activities and decided to teach them a lesson.

You welcome. :)
Looks like they fixed it. IA never forgets. /LOL Try this page from the archive which will load slow:

Board | NACCHO

BTW, Internet Archive: Wayback Machine is a researchers best friend. /lol Like...."we never said that" and then you pull up the old page and end the debate!

Anybody got a reply yet?

:)

I will be a little circumspect in my answer Doc. Last week my site received three Contact Us Form submission in rapid succession. Filled with numerous expletives and attacks on my own posts and rebuttal. My letter to these Desk Murders among other things painted the entire organization. From top to bottom, they are all Desk Murders and of course my own rebuttals along with a few "buss words" just so their was no ambiguity in my views.

More than likely a subordinate opened the email to screen before either passing it along to the big mucky muck or deleting it. HA! Didn't take me very long to discover the Computer and location of same it was sent from. NOT the name of the person. Then I filed Abuse Complaints since this action violated my own TOS. Not that I expect them to act on them. More about pumping myself up for the next round.
