This may seem like a dumb question but does any one know of any health risks if any caused from
vaping?
Totally not a dumb question. I did some research immediately after I started vaping and there are only 2 trace carcinogens in ecig vapor, which are also present in cigarettes, but at much higher levels and only part of the 20+ set of carcinogens you inhale with burning tobacco (collect 'em all!). If I recall, those 2 trace carcinogens are the same you'd inhale just from stepping outside and taking a deep breath.
On the other hand, I quit cloves cigars (2 ppd/12 yrs) two months ago and in the past three weeks I've had to cut my hypertension meds in half, with my dr's approval, because my blood pressure had dropped significantly to the point I felt like I was going to pass out. My energy level has also increased dramatically and I'm starting to lose weight for some reason...maybe higher metabolism? I haven't changed my activity level at all.
So, ultimately, from personal experience I can say that vaping has greatly improved my health in a short time. Since PG/VG, food flavoring and nicotine are really the only things I'm putting in my body now, all of which have a long history of safe internal use, I guess I'm pretty happy with the change and any haven't had any side-effects. In fact, with my greater energy it will make the next step in my health goals, weight loss, much easier
