I occasionally have the same problem. I also get dry eyes semi-often (in part exacerbated by my own allergies). I dont know for sure, but I chalked both of those up to PG sensitivity. Haven't noticed a difference with airflow, but mine is always wide open anyway.
65/35 vg/pg is approximately the threshold for me before I start to get irritated from the pg.
As for heartburn I just pop a Tums or something and it goes away.
If you dont have tums laying around just eat a spoonful of baking soda :)

My allergies have been a mess lately! It's super annoying, I'm really questioning a possible of intolerance or it may just be an adjustment period. I think I may even have a little bit of vapor tongue? Just feel really really dried out sinuses, mouth eyes. Now all that being said I have bad allergies in general so it may have nothing to do with vaping and may be somewhat coincidental

Keeping hydrated is definitely a must when vaping. I really enjoy making my own iced tea (bonus: I can use my flavors and it's awesome).

It could just be you need to tweak your vaping style.

Some people new to this run into problems with their MTL style, in effect 'gulping' their vape and end up swallowing it more than inhaling it and... there ya go - heartburn.

You may need to back off to a 'cigar style' technique for a while - sort of an open mouth inhale, take the vape to the back of your throat and... stop. Exhaling out your nose then will help while doing this, to have more of a sensation of "smoking".

BTW: This year has been absolutely brutal for anyone with pollen or mold allergies - so there could be that going on independent of any vape issues.

Allergies are brutal this year! This makes perfect sense I will try and tweak my method a bit to see if that helps. Thanks for advice :).

Heartburn was one of my biggest gripes as a smoker. I researched a little around this and came to the conclusion Nicotine was probably the biggest influence as my diet has been reflux-friendly now for 15 years.

It dissipated noticeably over the period 6-18months of Vaping and never came back. (Whoo-hoo).

I think you'll see an improvement even if you've been vaping (100%) a while now.

As for PG.... well, I don't personally subscribe to the 'rush to VG' theory. I had a dreadful reaction to PG when I first attempted to switch to vaping. PG is a known irritant, so is tobacco smoke. Unless you are actually allergic to PG, then acclimatization is certainly possible, as it was for all us smokers.

If you enjoy 100% VG then vape that. :)
I don't like it much, I must say and am glad I took the decision not to 'rush to VG' as now I can vape 100% PG or VG, either.

Good luck.

Yeah, actual allergic reaction to PG is a pretty extreme event. In my case, when I started I had nearly 100 PG liquids. Daily, I was getting nauseous, with chronic transient bursts of itching on my extremities. (Left wrist, right forearm, right hand, left back of the hand, right ankle...) On day three I took no more than a half dozen drags and WHAM! - puking my guts, itching everywhere, difficulty breathing - like my lungs were lined with wet cheesecloth. In other words - it wasn't subtle. I spent the next two hours going back and forth over whether a trip to the ER was in order.

Adverse reaction to PG - as in it's irritating - is one thing. If you were allergic to PG you would know it.

i keeping getting heartburn when vaping. What is causing this is there something I need to change? I thought I heard somewhere that this may be a reaction to pg so I am trying to switch to max vg.

I started vaping 24mg liquids, and still occasionally smoked. Both together gave me heartburn. Cut down or cut out smoking for a few days, then lower your nicotine in e-liquids. It was easy to lower e-liquid nicotine after I stopped smoking for a couple weeks because my taste came back and it was Nasty lol

Don't give up
