Heating up juice before you have a toke?

I have heard a few things about this both good & bad so as this forum has served me so well & quashed several things I had heard from people that vape I will ask here.

I have noticed myself that if I hold the button down for 2-4 seconds before I take a toke I get a far better hit from my liquid than compared to taking a toke right away. I was told this is the correct way to use your vape & no damage will be caused by doing so & it also will stop any leakage too.
I was also told though that when you hold the button down like that it causes damage to your battery, it burns your wick out alot faster & will cause it to cook your juice & over a few days will cause it to go weird from too much heat & will effect the way it vapes & also the taste.

I have only been using this method of holding the button down for not much more than 2 days but so far my wick is fine, the juice tastes the same & the only difference I have noticed is I am getting a far nicer hit, I have also noticed I seem to get more of a nicotine hit than I was before which is a good thing really.

Anyone clear this issue up for me please, at least that way I can pass on the correct info to my vape mates that seem to have an opinion on everything vape related even though they have been doing it a few months & don't read forums etc like I do.

Thanks in advance people.

If you're using a non VV/VW battery then I say what you are doing is just fine. That's how I used my Kgo batteries and it definitely did make the differences you describe. I can't imagine how using that method would damage anything unless you just sit there frying your juice to smithereens. But that's not what you're doing.
Do your thing brotha! :vapor:
But if you're using a variable device I don't think you really need to use that same method because you're able to turn up the power and therefore able to get things hotter faster. :2c:

I think it depends a little bit on your ohms. .5 ohms heats up much quicker than 2.0 etc. But the flavorings vaporize just slightly before the nic hence you getting a little better nic from how you are doing it. I can not fathom why someone would say that could harm your battery. Perhaps theres a logic I don't know of but I've been doing similar for 8 months with no battery issues I know of. It could gunk up your liquid but I doubt its any more than normal in a tank. Don't get me wrong heating up the liquid you're not inhaling can mess with the flavor but thats why cleaning a tank out every fill- every other fill is for. In short its not hurting anything and does give better nic IMO.

atm I have just a normal 900mah battery, I have my eye on a new battery next week though which will be a twist variable volt battery, thanks for the advice.

I did think the same tbh but I had heard from several people that it did bad damage to your battery etc so I did listen, I wasn't sure so I took it up on here as this place has helped me on every subject & question I have had on the vape subject be it from what juice is good to sub-ohm questions.

With my first mod (26650) it takes about 2-3sec to heat up. So I do a mouth draw and blow out and by the time I do that, its heated up enough to take a good pull. If I don't do that, then it heats up quicker and it gets too warm for me. On the build I got done on the new nemesis, it heats up so quick that I don't need to do a mouth draw. But I agree that waiting helps with flavor and/or cloud chasing.
