Heavy unfiltered tobaco flavor tips needed.

Hey everyone,

A friend asked me to help him quit smoking. He is used to roll his own siggies, using the 'heavy' tobacco type.

Not sure how to explain, but overhere they sell mild tobacco, 3/4 heavy tobacco, and heavy tobacco (4/4) and he's not using filter but rolling his own by hand.

So he needs a strong flavor and im guessing at least 24mg nic.

I would recommend Torque56 from Halo but he wants me to make something for him DIY.

The best I can currently make for him is FA's Virginia at 3% with 24mg NIC.

I have RY4 Double, RY4 Asian, M-type & DK Tobacco from TFA and also RY4 & Gold&Silver from Hangsen.

I do not think he will like a sweet tobacco and my tobacco's are sweet-ish.

I think I need to create a strong filthy dirty tobacco with a bit of an ashy taste to it for him.

What flavor can you recommend for me to use? Would 24mg be enough or should I go even higher for him?

Inawera just came out with a new Flavor


E-Flavour Dark Tobacco WG 10 ml. Flavour used to aromatize Tobacco Universal Base. Very characteristic „tobacco” taste, quite dense and heavy. Dosage at 1% only. Dark Tobacco change the taste of each flavour, double up the tobacco taste in tobacco flavours and gives good white cloud and throat scratch. Produced in EU. 10 ml /200 drops/ with dropper.


Sounds like what you are looking for, they make very good flavors.

Hangsen USA red is a strong ashy taste. Their Arabic is good with a strong th @ 3%. I have vaped FA dark vapor w/ Virginia and its a good strong blend. The dark vapor is pretty strong almost spicy....

The hangsen ry4 mixed a little light with a punch of m-type may be pretty good. You may also just utilize only the m-type as your strong tobacco.

You could also try just straight nic base. It's quite good if you've got a good nic. I occasionally vape 36 mg nic base straight up for a kick. It's really strong for sure. If you haven't tried flavorless nic base give it a try at your choice of strength. It does have a nicotine taste to it, some more than others. Give him a little 36 & 24 & 18 plain nic base to try, to see what strength of th and nic he prefers. Then mix him at that strength. You may find he really likes flavorless nic base. Because it does have a flavor.

Oh I wanted to ask you how do you mix your dk tab and hangsen g&s . I find the g&s to be too pruney still @ 3% it's not matching the premade I've had. The PA/Tfa dk tobac I used to like but not so much now, I mixed it at 5% howly crap way too string, a few drops in a tank over powers any flavor and kills my wick to anything else.

I have tried hangsen RY4 and G&S at 7, 10 & 12% and I like them both best at 7% and they have been an ADV for me and my sister like that for a few months.

I don't have much experience mixing with DK Tobacco but my starting point for TFA flavors is usually 10% unless I find conflicting info, like with DK Tobacco, because my comment for DK Tobacco is "Fruity nutty corn chip sweet Tobacco 2%-5% (555)" hmmm..

That site is very good for comparing starting points for new flavors because it lists the percentages other people used and gives a min, max, and mean and average percentage based on usage by others, even if you can't see their private recipes.

Inawera Tuscan Garden 4 drops, Inawera DNB Flavoring 6 drops. This will make 10 ml of juice. Tastes like a hand rolled cig. Sharp and dirty.
This is not a sweet vape by no means.

DNB being 'Dirty Neutral Base' ? A neutral base for me is a mix of PG/VG. Their bases sound like pre-mixed solutions that already include aroma's.. i'm hesistant about buying extra 'base' solution... it increases shipping costs.. and i already have 2 gallons of PG and 2 gallons of VG in stock.. and I got into DIY so I never had to buy another pre-mixed solution

I think TFA RY4 Asian is very ashy.. Do you think I could add a bit (1%?) of that to substitute ?

Yes their is a DNB Base, but that's not what Jimi or I suggested.

IOW who has already had their trail&error experience mixing up a bach of heavy unfiltered non-sweet tobacco with the above ingredients ?

Yes I saw the recommendations but they almost always say to add like 6-10 drops to some of the inawera bases and their bases seem to already have flavorings added, I was wondering if anyone used their flavors on plain PG/VG liquid..

Yes you can just mix without the Bases.

The second inawera order has arrived while the first order still hasn't.. So I emailed inawera asking them to track the first package.. they said it looked like it could be lost and promptly sent me a new package by dhl wich should arrive tomorrow or just after the weekend.. very nice of them.. just wanted to mention that
