I got vape mail today. Always a good day when that happens.

Opened the package to find my Helios rda. Turned on my adjustable florescent light/ large magnifying glass and began an up close inspection.
The drilled holes in the positive and negative posts had metal burrs in them. Had to ream them out just so I could get 30ga wire thru them. 2 out of the 4 holes were fine.

One of the neg. posts had a large scrap across it. Looks like someone took a small grinder to it!

The AFA ring is tight. So tight that you need really pinch the unit hard to turn it. I understand it should stay were you put it and shouldnt move if you were to grab it, but this stiff ring is a pain to adjust!

The O-rings that hold the cap to the base are too small in diam. they barely, and I mean barely hold the cap to the base. There is no way you could adjust the AFA ring with out turning the whole cap assem. on the base.

All of that aside I put a dual coil .5 ohm in it. This was a breeze for the fact that the base and posts have a great design.
Threaded a cotton wick in and fired this unit up. Does it work?? OMG What A Hit!!! The performance is outstanding.

The attempt at a hand engraved set of initials is a joke! The unit would look much better without the shaky scratches!

For the money I spent on this rda I was expecting much much better craftsmanship. I have a $17 clone rda that looks better than this and works ALOMST as well.

Not sure what you're talking about. I'm running quads .25 Ohms on 28 ga wire. The thing is bespoke i've found literally not a single thing wrong with it. It absolutely blows my nimbus v5 out of the water...

It sounds like somebody sold you a clone of the helios. That or you just got a lemon

Not saying it doesnt work great. Just saying that the craftsmanship for a USA (serial numbered) product is quite embarrassing.
Not to say that this reputable dealer in high end products did or didnt sell me a lemon. If I got one, I am sure others will also.
I dont have a problem spending good money on quality products. In this instance I got ripped off.

What do you want from it? It works great. Would it be worth it if it was bedazzled? Or perhaps it needs glow in the dark paint. Maybe some neon lights too.... yeah then you would've had your moneys worth.

LOL,
You have a valid point. Yes it works great.
Doesnt need to have bells and whistles, It is just such a great design, and works so well just wish the craftsmanship were better.
Is the vape worth the money?????????????????? We have all fought that question in our mind at some point in time.
