i have tried all kinds of builds now and it turns out that a single strand of 28ga wrapped six times on a 1/16" bit .8ohm is giving the best performance i can muster. rotflol, after all i have tried this is the same dimension i use for all my 30ga builds. i am sure i will try one or two less wraps and a 35a battery eventually but this is about as good as it gets. all i have yet to look for is faster initial heating. the air chamber is so massive in the helios it seems something is lost or lacking. a totally fresh battery is needed and i notice a drop in performance by the time it is discharged below 3.9v. this is telling me to upgrade to a higher ampere/mah battery. at .8ohm the efest 10a 2250mah is on par with the sony 20a 1600mah. the sonys shine when the resistance is lower. i read a thread questioning the new sony vtc5 vs efest 35a and i don't think there is an arguable difference. i believe both were designed for vaping apps and which do you prefer, china or japan? china has taken over the world of electronics at this point. they designed, manufactured, and own our nations 4G network. i will be buying efest.
at this point i am a little disappointed with the helios performance. in comparison with a kayfun as an atomizer, there is no comparison. i am beginning to believe kayfun/russian 91 design is the standard of best available at any price. the small combustion chamber funneling up to a second venturi chamber below the mouthpiece delivers an exceptional vape. hence, i ordered a second kayfun in the lite plus version. i don't care for the fill valve on my 3.1 and don't know what guage needle it takes to use. the new ehpro lite plus clone put the fill screw back in the base where it belongs. love the clear m tanks and eventually will pop a benjamin for two fused quartz replacements.
sitting here with 6 setups at arms reach. my fav tobacco in aerotank w/ vamo. my adv fruity in kayfun w/vamo. a different fruit in aerotank w/1300mah vv/vw. my second fav tobacco in t3s clearo on ego 1100 twist and lanyard. an aro II pyrex with cinnamon red hot on ego and the helios on mech mod. where do i go from here? nemesis mod, 2ohm cisco dripper to go with my 1.5. and lots of flavors. considering a dna 30 board $50 and carving a cherry wood mod. that should keep me busy. happy vaping!
