Again to adjust mine I had to let the cyclone soak in really hot water. I tried to hold the cyclone by the base and threads neither worked, the cyclone just kept spinning. As I said I had to use some pliers, needle nose, I grabbed the negative pin and then the positive pin lightly. You don't need to use a lot of power as the two pins will prevent the cyclone from spinning on their own. I then used the right size screw driver and rotated the pin both directions to loosen up the threads. I then had too back the pin out two full turns to have it make solid connection. Yes it is very difficult to get the screw too spin, but once you break it free it gets easier.
My cyclone made connection on my resistance tester, but would not make connection on both of my mods. After adjusting I used sand paper on a desk and rubbed the bottom of the cyclone to remove any burrs. It was worth it in the end, but I was pretty disappointed that an authentic atomizer was assembled so poorly.
